our GSD is sick and we gave him milk for added nutrition..he drank a lot of it..?

No, milk is not good for dogs, they don't have the enzymes to digest it properly.

Well I hope your dog doesn't get diarrhea from the milk. Dogs do not drink milk. Water only! They are sometimes lactose intolerant and it can give them an upset stomach and sever diarrhea. If your dog is sick get it to the vet!

Milk is not well tolerated by dogs and cats because they lack the enzymes needed to break it down. It tends to give them diarrhea.
When you say "sick" how is the dog acting?

Your GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG is like any other animal, some are sensitive, while others tolerate everything that you feed them.
It sounds like you should take the dog to the vet to get an expert opinion about what is going on with your dog. Hopefully it is nothing serious, but it is better to be safe than sorry!!!!!!!

If you gave your dog Cow's milk you can expect to see your dog suffering with diarrhea. Dogs are lactose intolerant. The best thing for your dog is water. If he's dehydrated it will help him feel better.

you shouldn't give your dog milk just like you should give it candy or chocolate.
