I have a miniature daushand (male), and a friend was staying the weekend and they neglected to inform me her dog was in heat.

There is a "morning after" pill that can be administered by the vet if you get there soon enough - like within hours.

Sure, it happens all the time. Females aren't interested in breeding til they are ready... Many litters are born, after having only 1 breeding.

my dog got prego her first time.unfortanly i had her in the front yard with her treats and she was on her chain and a big rott came up and nailed my little dog.o god anyways i went out there it was too late she was only out there for 10 mintes and i caught them in the act.too late.she had puppys.this was 6 yrs ago

she is probably pregers, get her checked by the vet. and if she is well then start trying to find responsible people to take the puppies and if she isn't put a diaper on them when they are around each other... good luck, hope it goes how you want it.
