It would seem to me that you need to go to a dog training school. One to learn how to train your dog and second to learn the proper way to treat him.
Seriously how can you think that Alcohol is even an option!
Take your dog to a kennel for the night or give him up to the humane society.

DON'T give your dog "something to drink". Dogs should never consume alcohol, it can be toxic as they do not metabolise it the same way we do. It would also be extemely cruel to give your dog enough alcohol to essentially make her pass out- it will definitely adversely effect her liver function. You need to go to your vet and get a sedative for your dog that is approved for use on animals, especially as she already has a chronic physical condition. So go to your vet, get a sedative and give that to her. If you're not willing to do that, have the party somewhere else.

Do NOT give your dog alcohol for ANY reason. Don't you care about her?? If not, please just get her to the humane society ASAP. Don't harm her and that's what you will be doing if you do that.
DO NOT give her ANYTHING, no over the counter pills, NOTHING. That's abuse and if you do that I hope someone will turn you in to the police, and that's SERIOUS trouble for you.
If people are inside, have her outside. If they are inside and outside, have the dog on a chain back where she won't bother anyone and make sure people know not to go by her. Make sure she has plenty of fresh water at all times.

I assume by "put to sleep" you mean get her to nap as opposed to euthanizing her. DON'T give her alcohol! Dogs don't metabolize it like humans do. If she already has liver problems, you're just begging for trouble. Why do you want her to nap during the get-together? Doesn't she enjoy seeing people? If having her there is not an option, put her in a room by herself and draw the curtains and play the radio softly for her. She'll probably nap out of boredom if she can't get at the fun activities. Make sure she has food and water available.
Please don't drug her and don't give her liquor!

Call your vet and ask them for some kind of mild sedative if this is the case... Something that will relax her while there is all these people around.. Don't give her any alcohol>< you could cause more harm then good. Some pet stores sell sedative like pills, but i would ask your vet even before giving those seeing your pet already has liver problems. They can give you something though that is mild and last for short times. I need to get em sometimes for my lab, she hates thunder storms, she use to be ok untill around the age 6 now she goes into a panic, my vet gave us some mild sedatives and it calms her, and she sleeps right thru them.. And they really helped thru the 4th of july.. And yes my animals are well trained, god they better be, lol i have 5...Good luck

Poor dog...if she doesn't have any bad behavioral problems, wouldn't some of the guests actually like to have her around? Find a friends place or kennel to bring her for the party instead of giving her potentially harmful drugs.

I have a safe method. Get something from the vet.
Why would you need to knock the dog out? Bad temperament? Lack of training? Either of those issues should be addressed rather than drugging the dog.

Why not take her to get groomed for a few hours while you're having the get together? Or take her to a kennel for the day? I would never suggest sedating a dog through 'house-hold items'.

I don't know what your problem is. Is your dog aggressive and will be biting everyone? Is she a lovable pup that will be in the way? Are you afraid she will bug people?
I would never put anyone before my dogs, they are my family. If they can't put up with my pups they are welcome to leave.
You might consider taking her to a shelter so she won't be a problem for you and she can find a family that will love her.

Have you considered dropping your dog off at the kennel during the party?
I'm sure it would be reasonably priced, safer, and she would probably enjoy it.
If you insist on giving your dog alcohol, i would suggest you consult your veterinarian first.
