OK, it is hard, but keep your faith up that you will find him.
I don't know what you have tried, but here are some suggestions:
Post fliers in your neighborhood, near by parks on trees, nearby stores, groomers, anywhere they will let you. The poster should have his picture and/or and excellent detailed description and your phone number.
Go in person the the shelters in your city.
Go onto the animal control, ASPCA, humane society websites for your city to look for your dog.
Walk/drive around 5-10 miles of your home calling for him.
Someone could have him in their yard waiting for someone to come looking for him
Go door to door in your area and the area he was lost to ask if anyone has seen him.
Many dogs will become scared and hide when lost.
Good luck, hope you find him soon. When you get him back, have him micro chipped.

When my sis lost her dog a few weeks ago, we canvased the neighborhood questioning every neighbor, going to the fire department, going to the shelters. Word got around and someone contacted her that same night and brought her dog home. If your dog is not wandering the neighborhood chances are that someone took him in and if you question enough people something will turn up. Post fliers everywhere you can and offer a reward. If someone has your dog a reward will encourage them to turn it in. You can also try putting some of your personal items throughout the neighborhood (like a dirty sock or scarf) because if your dog is wandering lost, he can pick up your scent on the clothes. Just check the items every few hours because if your dog finds it he will stay in that area. Also check animal shelters and be sure to check them every 3 days because they only hold animals for 72 hours before euthanizing them. There are also websites dedicated to lost pets. When people find animals, they post them on the sites hoping that an owner will come forward. Search by zip code; that is a long shot but worth trying. Good luck with finding your baby. And make sure to get him micro-chipped when he comes home.

I know you said you have done everything, but I am going to give you my ideas, you might find something that you haven't tried yet.
Call all the animal shelters and veterinary clinics in your area.
Bring flyers into shelters, vet clinics, grocery stores, pet stores that are in your area.
Put signs up around your house.
Talk to your neighbors.
Drive around looking for him.
Periodically stop into the animal shelters to see if maybe that didn't call.
I hope this helps. I'm so sorry you lost your dog. Someone brought in a lost dog flyer to the vet clinic where I work this morning, we hung it up. About 15 minutes later one of our clients walked in and saw the flyer. He found her dog yesterday, and had her at his house. He called her and they were reunited. Good Luck, I hope you find her!!!

The one thing most never think of is to place the dogs bed out where it can get to it at night.
You would be amazed at the number of lost dogs that spend the night on the front porch only to be gone again in the morning because they couldn't get to their bed.

I only have one suggestion to add to all the good ideas above. You should drive around asking all the dog walkers if they've seen your dog. Bring a picture of your dog with you. Dog walkers notice loose dogs. Also, sometimes lost dogs will try to follow other dogs that they feel comfortable with.

I'm very sorry that your dog is lost. Outside of your local humane societies/shelters and animal welfare groups, you could try www.fidofinder.com to search for him/her. Best of luck, and don't give up hope!
