i have a rat terrier collie mix and he does NOT listen. he constantly poops and pees ALL OVER THE HOUSE. we need to know if there are any secrets to training them. like sit, come, stay, etc etc. please dont give me links to sites to buy stuff. i do not want to buy anything. im jsut asking if you know any secrets or things that i could teach my dog to be well behaved. he was born last october. hes not even a year old. the only thing he responds to is "no"... for example, if we are playing and he gets to be a bit to aggresive we say "no" and he immediately stops and just licks me. :] its kinda cute. haha.

I have a 10 month old boxer, ever since we got him at 9 weeks he has always had very loose stools and we dont know why. He has had all his shots and deworming stuff. I have taken him to 4 different vets and know one seems to know why. They have done every test I can think of from stool samples to blood. He does have blood in his stools and sometimes when he is pooping it takes him a long time to get it out. If anyone has ever had this problem and know what it is please let me know. I have also tried taking away everything but his food and still doesnt solve the problem. He eats Science Diet Sensative Stomach food. He doesnt act sick and is still very playful. Please Help!!

My 3 dogs 2 rotties and a lab. love to get into the trash can.
We will get to bed and when we get up there is trash everywhere!
Weve tried everything to keep them out of it!!

we just got my dog's shots done...and when we left i grabed a packet thing..and its about pet gum disease...and i looked at my dog's teeth and his condition...basically i think he has gum disease...and when my mom came back i told her... and she said that hes ok because my mom said she has gum diease too...and on the packet it says brushing the dogs teeth will help and so are getting food that's good for teeth..and stuff..and also get him cheweys thats good for his teeth...he used to have some then he started destroying them so we gave him tennis balls...and i think its a bad idea now..

so if we start to brush his teeth now will that help? (because i didnt know that before..about the teeth brushing and teeth cleaning on pets) and now im soo worried and scared...but then i think my dad will say no if we take him to the vet. because idk...the vet are tooooo expensive...like really expensive...but we are getting all the tooth brush and tooth paste...cheweys this week

We have a 4-5 month old American Pit Bull Terrier. She is an absolute sweetheart with humans, including kids, but she has just developed signs of aggression towards other dogs.

We've spoken to a trainer and to a vet who have given us opposite opinions about when to have her spayed. One of them told us that early spaying may make the aggression worse by eliminating the estrogen that naturally counterbalances the testosterone, and recommends waiting to have her spayed until she is a year old.

The other says that the aggression may be related to signs of an early heat, and recommends spaying her at about six months.

Either way she is getting spayed ... we're just wondering about timing.

Any opinions either way?

I just recently moved to Ok. because I am in the army. It took me 2 months to find a house to rent because of my 2 pits. They are very loving pits. I eventually found a housee to rent only because I lied about the breed of my dogs. This isn't just my opinion, it has happened with numerous pit owners here. It makes me sick to see the dog prejudice people here. Rumor has it they are passing some law here to eventually have all pits non existent in Ok, by outlawing breeding and you wount be able to buy a pit out of state as a pet and bring it here.

My dog is 9 months old and we live in a huge hood. Well he barks alllllllllllllllllllll the time and it annoys people. Hoe can I teach him to stop barking. We have said no and tapped him on the nose but he still barks. We also have a kennel for him but he barks even more in that. HELP!!!!!

I always open fed my 2 boxers because one of them has always been small and pretty thin. But now my younger girl is getting a little chunky so I want to start feeding them on a schedual. I have large container I put the food in for storage and so I threw away the bag with the serving size chart on it. Also how much should my poor little 35 lb girl eat?

My lhasa apso i recently showed pictures of and asked breeding advise Hates other Dogs she hates Smaller dogs and bigger dogs she thinks shes the tuffest dog ever We had to watch a german shepard and weiner dog recently and she tryed to kill them both she wont let no other dog by me accept My chow That she loves soo much My chow was hear before my dog and there really close I want to breed my lhasa apso because i want more puppys i can take care of them and i have the time even though im only 13 My dog has the most loving ever But how can i have another puppy with out my dog killed them or giveing birth to them i cant wait till she dies because i want her to be with me for ever i love her sooo much So what do i do I want to breed her Because she seems like a good mother and when my cat had kittens she loved them soo much soo what do i do?

I recently(4 days ago) got a black lab puppy he wont stop scratching his collar he cont. does it all day i don't know what to do. any suggestions?
I did take him to the vet he doesn't have flea's or any other obvious problems.
My other question is i can't find a treat my six month old lab likes i have tried lots of different treats but idk what to do i don't give him human food but i have heard hot dogs work is there something that might be better/less perservatives i could give him?
