It has been in use for at least 15 years for fleas. Won't help with ticks. You need to dilute it with water, because it is very greasy. It will help repel fleas, but not 100%. I don't like it because of the greasy feel of the coat. It is not harmful, though.

I haven't heard of Skin so Soft for fleas and ticks, but I have used it on my boys for repeling mosquitoes when we are camping at the lake.

Yes, I've heard of it but it does not work very well. What you need is a flea product made for dogs. Advantix and Frontline both work well.

I would never use this on my dog. Avon has recieved much praise on being animal friendly by not testing its products on animals because they are not intended for animals. The perfumes in most products can be hazardous to the eyes and cause cataracts and even blindness. If digested they can cause stomach upset. Even casual licking can cause irritation in the stomach linning resulting in stomach ulcers. I'm not saying that every dog will become ill but I'm not going to take the chance. I have known too many people who have tried so many products on their dogs including skin-so-soft and their dogs have gotten ill. I would rather use eucalyptus oil and water because I know it's safe.

Unreal.. Why dont you people use what is intended for pets? The makers of products on the market go through endless hours of paper work and samples to be sure its safe for what its intened to be made for! If skin so soft works so good for dogs, horses e.t.c. Then why dont you see it on the shelves of pet stores, feed stores sold for that use? I know why, because its not approved by the e.p.a. or d.n.r. for that use! Geez people, wake up! heck, if skin so soft worked that good, I would market it and make a ton of money!
