Hello.. First off let me agree with everyone else that there are no teacups...blah blah blah... I have 3 chis that would be considered teacups IF they existed... Teacup basically means they are really small. That doesn't mean though that they will stay that way though. Some of these so called teacups have serious medical problems but you just really have to be careful on where and how you decide to get one. The pros are you get to be able to take them anywhere with you if you wanted to. They are small enough to where the amount of food costs aren't that high for a GOOD brand. Do not skimp on quality though! The cons are they are as fragile as a newborn baby. Some for being soo small are hypoglycemic and if they were bought by someone who knows nothing about hypoglycemia then the baby will die. The biggest con is how careful you MUST be with these Chis. So again let me say THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A TEACUP CHI but there is such a thing as a tiny chi and those are very hard to take care of IF you don't have the right people who know and love the breed. I have 3 and their weights are Coco 3lbs, Lucky 3lbs and Ruby 1Lb. I am not an advocate for teacups or anything like that but there are some really small chis that need go homes as much as the bigger dogs out there. I would go to a rescue specializing in Chihuahuas. All you have to do is search the web. They are out there and you wont have to pay the RIP off prices that these so called teacup breeders would want you to. All I ask is for you to research the breed and find the right size and breed you can easily become accustomed to. I really hope this helps you instead of BASHING you about your question is the first place. Have a great day and I really hope you find your BFF.

There really isn't a "teacup" Chihuahua. This is simply a term used by irresponsible breeders to sell runts of the litter or puppies delibrately bred too small...smaller then breed standard. These undersized dogs are very prone to health issues, many of which are very serious..liver, kidney, heart, spinal, bone, etc...they also often have shorter life spans then the "normal" sized Chihuahua.
If you are interested in a Chihuahua get one from a responsible breeder one who doesn't use sales tactics such as "teacup", Tiny Toy", "Miniature", "imperial", etc when trying to sell. One who breeds to the breed standard, does genetic health testing, breeds for health and longevity, guarantees the genetic health for at least 2 years...in otherwords one who genuinely cares about the breed and breeds to improve not just produce puppies.

Nothing but cons - breeders that breed "teacups" are unscrupulous. It is an undersized dog, smaller than the standard and much more susceptible to disease and injury - they are very frail. No good breeder would intentionally breed a a "teacup." Only someone who wants to make a lot money for a poorly bred dog will do this. Get a standard size chihuahua and save yourself a lot of heartache. They are already really small.

They take a lot of care and cannot be left alone for long periods of time, they have to be eat 6 to 8 times a day due to the fact they can become hypoglycemic from just playing a lot they are one person maybe two at the most dogs they do not like crowds or loud noise, they are very skittish and nervous.

They are very loving dogs and like to be cuddled and babied all the time they tend to hide when you have company or take them out in public they stay close to their owner.

There is no such a thing as a "teacup" Chihuahua. They are, to be blunt, overpriced, undersized, out of standard dogs which are being bred for $$$. Many of these dogs have serious health issues as a result.

Your safest bet is to get one from petfinder.org or from a responsible breeder who is a member of the Chihuahua Club of America.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUOWM

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Well, there are no "pros" because there are no teacup anythings...they're just poorly bred runts with a cutesy name attached so ignorant people will pay extra money for them. Most of them are very unhealthy and have numerous internal and skeletal problems. Money pits, basically...

the great part of chihuahuas are is that they dont use up too much money in the grooming, bedding, food, and toys department because its all very small.
the bad part of chihuahuas are that many owners believe that they do not need to be walked as frequently or as long as normal dogs because theyre spoiled and treated like a baby (ie. the holding all the time, petting it when its barking at someone/something "trying to calm it down" <-- when its not, and such) they DO need to be walked (outside the house. )everyday for at least 15minutes. you MUST socialize them from early on so that they wont YAP at everything.
chihuahuas DO need discipline just as much as a large breed or a breed that is known for fighting other dogs (breeds such as pit bulls, german shepards, bermese mountain dogs...etc).

There is no such thing as a teacup. They are just the runts of the litter. They are the smallest ones born they are not 'teacup'.
