I have a five yr old lab, and two of his pups that are 6 months old, 1 chocolate & 1white. In the last two weeks the 5 year old has bitten the white twice. I can't have them loose in the house at the same time even. Now here's the twist, the young chocolate is the one that jumps on, bites and climbs all over the 5 year old and they don't seem to have a problem, the white doesn't do any of this, and still adores his father. The father is also a hunting dog and we have never had a problem with other dogs in the feild, even when they bit him. He's never bit back. Do you think neutering will help?

Years ago I had a long haired "Lassie Type" Collie. I loved everything about the dog except the coat. I hike and fish and the dog would go with me. His coat picked up everything he came in contact with: burs, twigs, seeds. Does a smooth Collie have the same temperment, and do they shed badly?

I have a rescue Border Collie...she is an amazing lovely 20 month old female, but a tad naughty, hence, she had been abused. I have had a lot of advice on this site, with regard to controlling her behaviour, when she plays up. I have been VERY firm with her, when she is unruly, just for the past two days, and am amazed at the result, she seems so much more obedient, to the point, i click my finger, point to her bed, tell her to stay!...she stays!, then i reward her after 15 mins of staying put. She barks like crazy in the car, when she sees a dog going by, i was very assertive with her again today, firmly told her to Shut up!! sit down now!..she did!!...a visitor called tonight, she went nuts, i told her, bed!!..she went, i said stay!! she did!!!...am i winning here, is it possible to get the balance right after just 2 days, of continuous training? I am so pleased with her, feel i am winning, i love her so much, and want her to be a good girl!

Thet are clear but strawberry looking. She chews herself, but I don't think they are blisters. They look like they are growing out of her skin. We are taking her to the vets, but has anyone seen these before on their dog?

Hey all,

Storm's a female German shepherd rottweiler mix, and is currently 4 months old and about 25 pounds.

Out of curiosity, I was wondering exactly how big she'd get.

Thanks!

I thought she was sick, but it's been going on for a while. I took her to her vet and they put her on medication, but doesn't seem to be helping. So i was wondering if it was because she was going into heat?

It started small looked like a wart. It keeps getting longer and longer. It doesn't seem to bother her, but it looks awlful. She's due for a visit to the Vet about June. What could it be and should I take her to the Vet sooner?
