Hello Jessica your puppy needs to go to a vet. It may have a mucus blockage you can't reach through it's nose or another serious problem. Purple or blue nose and paws means that a pup is not getting enough oxygen That normally meand a heart or breathing or circulation problem. You can try gently rubbing it with a towel to stimulate it and increase circulation and do keep it warm. Sunday is a hard day to have an animal problem because many vets are closed. Try to find an emergency vet clinic in your area. If you can't call someone you know who breeds dogs or trains dogs and ask if they can help you or can help you find an emergency vet. This isn't something that can be diagnosed or treated by net without seeing the pup. A breeder could possibly recommend a home remedy to help or may have something on hand from a similar problem but they would probably have to see what was happening and then tell you what they would do if it were their dog because of course they can not legally treat or prescribe for someone else's dog.

I see that a lot of people are telling you to take the pup to the vet. I general, this is very good advice. However, before you do this, keep in mind that the pup may die any way.

Look for these signs to see if the pup may be unhealthy:

1. Does the mother pay attention to it and takes care of it?
2. Is it eating as much and as often as the others?
3. Is it gaining weight and as active as the others?
4. Does it seem as strong as the other pups?

If the answer is "no" to any or all of these questions, then the chances are the pup is very ill and won't make it no matter how much money you spend on it at the vet.

Every litter that my ***** has had, we went through this with a puppy. I know it is hard to watch it suffer, but there is really not much you can do if the lungs are not fulled developed. Good luck to you! I hope everything works out.

Get that puppy to the vet before it gets worse. It sounds like somethings wrong with it's lungs and it can't get enough air through it's nose. If he doesn't get there soon he might not make it, I don't want to scare you but he has to get to a vet, try to find a emergency vet if you can't just rush him to the nearest vet. I hope your puppy is OK.

Dear; this is an emergency. Your pup may have a blockage. It needs a vet's attention immediately. Please go have the baby checked as soon as you can. It will probably die if you don't, because it can't breathe while it is nursing and the pup will continue to waste away from the problem. They are too little to have to work so hard to breathe...My heart is with you and your puppy. Good luck. Nana

There is likely noting the vet can do at this point. It's the runt of the litter, let nature take it's course.
The vet will probably put the pup on oxygen and fluid, charge you $500 and send you home with a dead pup.
I'm sorry.

You could take the pup to the vet, but it sounds serious. It might cost a lot of money even if the pup can't be saved. Sometimes it's better to let nature take it's course. I'm sorry, I have been through the same kind of situation. I know how you feel.

Make sure nothing is lodged in its throat. If you can get to a vet. They have emergency clinics.Where I live if the vet is closed when you call you are automatically transfered to the emergency vet clinic in your area.If there is no way to get to the vet, just keep the puppy as comfortable as you can.It does sadly sound like he may die.I know it is hard, but somtimes it happens.Be thankful that the other puppies are ok.Wish you luck!

Take it to the vet immediately. It may have an obstruction or another problem and may die without veterinary care. The purple skin is a sign that he is not getting enough oxygen.

Don't waste any time. Take him to the vet.

The vet knows best. ;)

If the vet is too far, then I'd suggest phoning one and asking, or phoning the animal hospital. They'll come and pick the puppy up..
