God, I'm sorry but I think I'm beginning to regret getting her! We have a black lab, just turned one, and he's a saint !!!! So, off we got to get another. Now, she is only 11 weeks old in fairness, but she never stops barking, peeing, and generally being a B***H!
She keeps us up all night barking. She even dominates the older one, taking his food. How do I discipline her??? Please!!!
And I know we took her in for life, so don't worry, I'm not going to give her away.

My dog Kilo always has a fit and runs toward the door if the doorbell rings or even if he hears the doorbell on TV. We can be lying on the couch and he is dead asleep and the Dominos commercial comes on and he is wide awake and barks for almost a whole minute. He just gets so upset and we say NO BARK! but he just goes around the house and whines and cries. Any ideas why he does this and how do I correct this.

I have a 10 week old Shih Tzu. She is doing really well. Sleeping through the night, going to the bathroom on the patio... We are running into an issue with barking in her crate. I know she is doing it for atention and becuase she wants to get out and play. I also know that I'm playing into it becasue I'm forced to let her out when she barks because my neighbors would kill me if I kept it going. I know I'm causing this problem and in an ideal situation I would just let her bark. But, I can't becasue of I'm in an apartment.

What should I do. When she is tired she goes in and is great. At night she is great. When she is awake, and I want to take a shower I put her in the crate and she barks.

Help.

Jason

I am very happy with my dog, and would like to get another male but I'm worried about competition. Anybody know specifics about the breed and whether opposite-sex pairing is best?

I just bought a 777 sq. ft. condo and I have 2 pug dogs. It's not like I am going to get rid of them or anything. I was just wondering if anyone has had 2 small dogs in a 700 sq. ft. living space. I am just trying to anticipate how cramped it will be.

with all the drama with these poor dogs with the senseless banning across the nation where do you stand on this issue? do you think they are bron killers or do you think its the owners fault or people taunting the dig that triggers it? do you own a pit bull? if not do you own any other breed?

I have used Internet search engines but haven't been able to find any Bulldog shelters in my area. I live in the 626 area code. I am willing to drive a reasonable distance to look at dogs; I specifically want an ENGLISH Bulldog (not French, not Pit Bulls, etc.). Any help you can offer is appreciated. Thank you! :)

We just bought our puppy in September. He is a pomeranian/shih tzu and was 10 weeks when we got him. He is now starting to grow in his adult teeth. He has been teething a lot but has not had any baby teeth fall out yet. The weird thing is, his two new adult teeth have grown in behind his baby teeth! Is this normal? He hasn't been acting any different than he normally does so we're not sure what to think.

Long story short. Adopted 5 mo. old puppy from shelter 5 mo. ago for a companion for our 12 yr. old dog with arthritis. Adopted dog is very muscular and not a good match for 12 yr. old dog. I adopted another puppy, smaller that my cat, calmer disposition. How do I return first puppy to the no kill shelter without feeling guilty. We really do love her, but doesn't fit our older dogs needs...I've been trying to find someone I know that would take her, but no luck yet.

I purchased a dog not too long ago. He is a wonderful pet and we love him very much. When i purchased him the seller told me I could breed him as a stud dog. After working with the animal and breed i decided that i may offer his stud services to qualified bitches for the betterment of the breed. I emailed a few local breeders to show them pictures and little info about my dog. I received some good emails and one bad one. The one in particular was threatening. The person claimed to KNOW my dog and that i did not have breeding rights. Apparently the previous owner might have signed non-breeding papers. I check over my dogs papers that came with him and nothing of the such is mentioned. I just have his pedigree with transfer of ownership. If such a contact exists, am I legally BOUND by it? I never signed nor heard of any such contract till now. They are threatening to come and TAKE the dog away from me now. Can they do that?

Please help!

My Stepdad found two puppies by the road when he was coming from work 2 week ago, we try to go back to the same place he found them but couldn't find anybody that could help us find their home. We want to take them to a shelter but we really like them they are so cute. But first we want to know if this kind of dogs are good with kids because we have a 7 and a 9 year olds.
Here are some pics.

I have had my dog for three years and he struggles with food aggression. Went through all the training with him but since I moved into my own place (break-up) he has gotten worse. I can no longer fulfill his needs as I am not home for half of the day and his behavior keeps getting worse. I have decided to return him to the shelter where I got him. This is going to be very painful, this separation. How do you get through this?

X-rays reveal the dog has stones and recently I've noticed some blood in his urine. I don't want to do surgery because of his age. He has additional health issues which I feel would make surgery risky. The cost would be over $1500. My cousin had a dog who had the same surgery. The stones reappeared after one year and the dog subsequently died. Is there anything I can do? By the way, he doesn't seem to be in pain, is eating well, and is eager to play. I feel guilty by not electing to have the surgery done, but I had another Lhasa who lived to be 17 after spending thousands of dollars to keep her going. I can't do this again.
