God, I'm sorry but I think I'm beginning to regret getting her! We have a black lab, just turned one, and he's a saint !!!! So, off we got to get another. Now, she is only 11 weeks old in fairness, but she never stops barking, peeing, and generally being a B***H!
She keeps us up all night barking. She even dominates the older one, taking his food. How do I discipline her??? Please!!!
And I know we took her in for life, so don't worry, I'm not going to give her away.

Yes, we have a crate, and still she goes pee in it no problem to her lying in it.
We also bought a bark collar for her and we hear it ringing off but that doesn't seem to stop her either.

Is this dog from hunting dogs? Labs, like every other breed, come with different temperaments and likely this one is just different from your "saint".
Patience, consistency and training will get you through. Why does she bark all night? Do you go and let her out or give her any kind of attention? If so, that's why she still barks. You need to grit your teeth and totally ignore her and she'll stop once she learns that she's not going to get any kind of response.
If she persists in taking your older dog's food, feed her in her crate. If you don't want to do that, train her to sit and put her in a sit stay to wait for her food, then you'll have to physically send her back and tell her no if she goes for the other dog's food.
Sounds like she's a live-wire and you're going to have to make sure she knows she has to follow the rules right from the beginning. Make sure she gets lots of exercise to tire her out. You might also want to do some obedience to keep her mind active, too.

Is she in a crate?
First, I would say start feeding them in seperate rooms. I have 4 dogs and do it everyday, its not too much of a pain.
Second, get a crate and start using it. She needs to be in it when unsupervised. Take her out to pee after naps, eating, playing, and first thing in the morning. Reward for it as soon as she pees outside, not after coming in. She doesn't get to come in until she has done her biz. If, after 30 minutes she hasn't peed, she goes in the crate for 30, then out again.
When she barks at night, ignore her. Just leave her in the crate. It may take a couple of nights, but don't even scold her for it. She will take any attention she can get, even if its a firm "NO" from you.
I would also enroll in obedience classes, or take her for 2 good long walks every day....especially before bed.

ok its GREAT that ur not gittin rid of her. first, for the dominating: trick her into thinkin ur givin the other dog food. but: put the food that she doesnt like in it (like mild sause, but make sure its not 2 hot). then, when she gits it, she will realize the other dogs food is gross. keep doing this. then she'll know that this is different from hers. and when she eats her own: praise her with a dog bisquit. (if this dont work, put them in separate rooms @ feeding time)
For the barking, you could "ground" her, as i like to call it. when she barks like that, get your voice over hers, and say NO. lock her up for 10 min. let her out after that time, then if she does it again after many times of doing this, purchase a muzzle. put it on her only when she barks. then take it off her and tell her NO. if she doesnt stop after all this, you may want to try a shock collar for puppies when shes an adult. it helps to use the lightest shocks, but not adult ones. even when they are adults.
For the peeing, i no this sounds gross, but put her nose in it, maybe give her a little tap on the butt, and yell no in her face, this way, she nos shes done wrong. ALSO she could be peeing for other reasons. if NOTHING that anybody tells you 2 do works, take her 2 the vet to see if she has a UTI.

I know puppies can be frustrating as H*LL!! Have you crate trained her? The reason she is probably peeing all over the place is because she's trying to cover up your other dogs scent. Try cleaning your carpets really good, then using a product called Nature's Miracle. It get rid of the enzymes and urine smell in the carpets. I have a Corgi and she barks all the time. I usually tell her in very calm voice, "It's ok honey, I have it under control" You don't want to yell at her, because to her, you're just joining in the noise making. Good Luck!!

You have several choices. She is trying to be the alpha dog and that's why she bullying your older dog. Start feeding them in separate areas or times. You can crate her at night to help with potty training and you can also muzzle her at night to keep her quite. However, training her to not bark is better. You can also enroll her into a dog training school to help with being bull headed. Good luck and I hope this helps a little. Just went through the same thing with my pup.

I would get that dog into Puppy Preschool ASAP. Usually local shelters will offer obedience classes. If not, Petsmart and Petco offer classes.
Do you have a crate? You may want to invest in one. They usually won't go to the bathroom in the crate. You can get a citronella collar for the barking, too.

Well....sounds like a typical puppy, if you leave her alone at night she will get lonely, leave the other dog with her at night. she probaly keeps peeing cuz she isn't potty trained yet, she probably really isn't dominating the other dog, she is probably whining when he has dog and she doesn't, the other dog gives in and lets her have the food so he doesn't have to put up with the pestering, i have a male lab vizla mix puppy that does that to our older lab mix.

the thing is that puppies r like that, they r rambuncious and like to play, u should have known what u were getting into, and another thing is that not all dogs r saints. my dog was the same way and still is. some dogs have a lot more energy than others, but i am afraid that the only advise i have for u is to just deal with it. train it like u trained ur other dog. that is all i have for u so sorry but it isnt much

Puppy problems are common. I recomend going to a pet store or
'puppy camp" for obediance lessons. Make sure you know alot about who you go to. Also, try getting pee-pads to train the urine problem. Good Luck!
