I have used Internet search engines but haven't been able to find any Bulldog shelters in my area. I live in the 626 area code. I am willing to drive a reasonable distance to look at dogs; I specifically want an ENGLISH Bulldog (not French, not Pit Bulls, etc.). Any help you can offer is appreciated. Thank you! :)

Im not saying that you can't find one, but it will be difficult. English bulldogs are one of the priciest breeds of dogs there are. People generally buy them as pups and if it doesnt work out they can sell them. They are prone to many health complications, but I love them too. Generally, you can find these full blooded dogs for between $500-$1500. You maybe able to find en english bulldog mix in a shelter. I would try humane society search or pedigree adoption.

English bulldogs never need to be in a shelter there owners watch them like there gold, so if you want one you will have to pay the $500.00 or so dollars that they sell for, and get it from a breeder that's the only safe way.

The BCA Rescue Network rescues only the purebred Bulldogs sometimes referred to as "English" or "British" Bulldogs.
