My dog had smelly wind as well and I tried for months and went through so much different varieties, the best one that I found was pedigree puppy complete,, the only time that I get any smells is when he has any treats as that doesnt agree with him..by the way the worst food for wind was iams and purina

Poor quality foods make worse gas than premium foods. Our pets need quality pet food. Read the ingredients list and learn what the stuff on there is and what it does (or does not do) to/for our pets. A quick pet food 101. If the pet food contains corn/corn products or by products it is a poor quality food. Do not pay attention to advertising, they all say there food is great. Corn is a filler that can trigger skin problems. (allergies, skin problems, itching and excessive shedding) By products is anything from an animal not fit for human consumption, including cancerous tissue. Quality foods have meat as the first ingredient. California Natural, Solid Gold, Innova and Merrick are a few of the best brands available. Have also heard that sprinkling cinnamon on the dog's food can help with the smell. Like previous posters have said, feed a high quality dog food like Eukanuba, Hill's Science Diet, Royal Canin, Iams, or Purina One if $$ is a concern. These foods have less "fillers" in them, thus less "waste" comes out.

Gas can be an indication of other problems with his gastrointestinal system. Have him checked out by a veterinarian to rule those out.

Add a spoonful of plain(not vanilla) no sugar or fruit added yogurt to the food daily. The probiotics in the yogurt adds good bacteria to the digestive tract which cuts down the gas produced by maldigestion. It may take a week or so to reap the benefits. Make sure you are feeding a high quality, well balanced diet. Good luck

You may want to consider how many times you are feeding your puppy, overfeeding causes wind in animals and humans alike, and in animals it does smell unpleasant. Plus you wouldn't want your puppy to turn into an obese pup would you ?

hi hon i wouldn't worry about it really,he's just a baby but i don't think i would just give him dried food, it may be cheaper but give him the right food, give him readybrek in the morning, and some puppy food with puppy biscuits, when he get older give him adult food, i have a staff and he makes smells now and again and hes 6,. well ask yourself what you are like say after a nice curry,......just the same. lol xx coral

You may want to upgrade on the quality food you give him. Make sure that the first few ingredients are meat. Stay away from the fillers.
