I know if you neuter a dog it calms it down a bit, does the same apply to spaying a *****? And when is the earliest you can spay them?

What are some guidelines with regards to international air transportation for large dogs? Would the heat in India be bad for the dog? Are there any other problems that dogs from US would face in India? Please suggest some solutions.

My puppy is 5 months old and he is a Papillion/Eskimo mix and he has become very spoiled and I swear we never spoiled him the first months! :) But now he barks for no damn thing, he ruff houses a lot, he acknowledges "come here," but if he is outside and off the leash and there are people around, good luck with that, he will just keep following the other person. He does everything great when he is alone with me, but once outside or other influences around, he doesn't listen a God damn bit. What is this? He is not neutered yet...and he goes to the bathroom like every minute! Sometimes it's a trick to get to go outside and play with his playmate, but he goes to the bathroom so much!!! When will the madness end?

My dog, Maggie, a 4 year old Labrador Retreiver, recently started "crying". Now I know some tearing at the eyes is normal but recently it's become very goopy and a greyish brown colour. It doesn't seem to be bothering her and I've wiped it gently off with a warm cloth the past few days (I wiped around her eye not on the eye). It's just not the nicest looking stuff (is goop ever nice looking?) and I'm worried it could get worse. Any advice would be helpful, and I know that taking her to the vet is the number one answer so please, something more constructive than that would be beautiful. Thank you.

I have a friend who has two 4 year old dogs. They are the small ones with flat faces. The female is perfectly house trained. The other does his thing all over the house. This is in spite of scoldings and cajolings. He is 4 years old. Is there any hope? They are contemplating giving him away.

Everytime I let my 2 puppies out they want to eat all the dry leaves and little pieces of tree bark they can find. Is that ok? They just love to run in the grass but I find myself running after them constantly pulling this stuff out of there mouths.

What is a good dog for a single man. I want a loyal large dog.. I do not want a very typical dog. I most likely will get one from a shelter but i wanted ideas of breeds... ex husky, malamute or something among those lines. I got a one acre fenced in property.
