Why all the trouble and fear of rottweilers at the moment. I have one that weighs eleven and half stone. He is the most gentle dog I ever had. My ex has a jack russell that would kill a child, but my rotty can have a baby between his legs and just look after the child. beware anyone that try's to hurt the child though.

i'm not trying to start an argument just wondering about other people's opinions.

i think it's actually a good thing... i mean, for the other animals and all, besides i don't think it would be too unhealthy. and "dogs are carnivores"... well dogs evolved from wolves, they don't hunt as much and all, instead of raw deer meat, they have cooked chicken and kibble and cooked rice? so i think dogs can get used to a vegetarian diet, just like they got used to cooked food.

i don't know. what do you think?

My boyfriend has a Min-Pin who is in most respects a sweet dog, but she really interferes with our sex life. If we close the door, she constantly barks and whines. And if we leave the door open, she jumps up on the bed. YUCK!!!

Also, he has always allowed her to sleep on the bed, but I don't like this. The thing is, he's had the dog for 3 years and I don't know if it's too late to ask her to sleep on the floor.

Does anyone else have a problem like this? What do you recommend we do?

Also, I just don't like the way my boyfriend interacts with his dog. He calls her his "daughter."

And when I first brought my cat to his home, he encouraged her to "get the kitty" - basically chase after the cat and intimidate her.

Do I have a right to ask him to find a new home for the dog? The thought of a house with no pets makes me sad but the way my boyfriend interacts with his dog really disturbs me.

I am trying to figure out what a Blue Boston and a Seal Boston look like. My female had pups 2 days ago and there are 3 that look almost silver.... very pretty. I have seen some ads for Blue Boston's but the pics look like they are just black and white. I am asking because the Official Boston Terrier Standard do not recognize a Blue Boston as a breed of standard. I understand that Seals are more expensive when pricing but I am not sure what I have as far as color. I spoke with my vet and since I live a small town there are few Bostons and none of which are Seal or "Blue".

I Have a 3 year old german shepherd. When he sees the neighbors dogs, he starts barking at them like crazy, they have male dogs. He seems to be mean to other animals, neighbor dogs and birds. He has killed many. Im going to adopt a female dog soon so he can have a female companion to hangout with. kind of like a girlfriend. He has never been introduced to a female dog other than his sisters but that was like as a puppy. Do you think he will enjoy having a female friend, or do you think he will be agressive and start barking at her. Please help. And Does it make a diffrence to his behavior if i get a diffrent breed of dog, or does it have to be a german shepherd. Thanks...

Talking to them, buying them things like the dog cares.
I find this misplaced affection disturbing.
No wonder the rest of the world thinks our society is bankrupt.

My dog is a female American Staffordshire/ American Bull Terrier mix. She's a little over a 18 mon. old. She had her anal glands removed before she was a year old. Ever since her feet and gential area turn a brownish black color. Primaraly around her nail beds. I can scrap the stuff off but it comes back. I changed her food to Wellness Super 5 mix and gave her nzymes yeast treatment. The Yeast treament worked alittle bit, but i stopped after she began feeling hot but feet and ears felt ice cold. The other main thing is She sleeps almost all day. She hasnt lost weight, she likes to play, and she still eats normal. Ive looked for answers but have ran out of things to do. Can someone please help me with this or give me some Ideas. If i dont hear anything in a couple days I will be going back to the Vet again. Thank you.
