we had one and always left it out -- we have a beautiful mutt now and still leave it down and full all the time.

It is best to leave water out all day but to feed twice a day. This way if you can establish a potty routine. You should feed at the same time everyday so that you know he needs to potty. Leaving food out is also not a good idea for another reason. By picking the food up you show that you control the food and thus you are the leader. It helps you train. It helps teach nothing in life is free. Have him do a trick for his food. It cuts back on obesity too. It can also create a finicky eater.

You can, but you shouldn't. Dogs tend to just eat and eat. Unlike most cats, they don't stop eating once they are full. It's best to have them on and eating schedule. it is eaiser on you too if you are trying to housebreak the dog. always make sure there is water down for them though

Dry food is okay to leave out. I had two Chihuahuas, my mom and dad have one, and they always have their food and water left out. It is okay.

water should always be available...and you should feed your dog once or twice a day...depending on what your vet says...if you leave food out constantly your dog will be overweight...

yes unless ur using can dog food water for sure they make bottles that when low fill up same w dryfood

It shouldn't be a problem as long as there are no ants or bugs around; water should always be left out.
