My dog is a female American Staffordshire/ American Bull Terrier mix. She's a little over a 18 mon. old. She had her anal glands removed before she was a year old. Ever since her feet and gential area turn a brownish black color. Primaraly around her nail beds. I can scrap the stuff off but it comes back. I changed her food to Wellness Super 5 mix and gave her nzymes yeast treatment. The Yeast treament worked alittle bit, but i stopped after she began feeling hot but feet and ears felt ice cold. The other main thing is She sleeps almost all day. She hasnt lost weight, she likes to play, and she still eats normal. Ive looked for answers but have ran out of things to do. Can someone please help me with this or give me some Ideas. If i dont hear anything in a couple days I will be going back to the Vet again. Thank you.

you need to take her to the vet again no matter what answers you get on here. no one but your vet is going to be able to give you a true answer. it sounds like she just is a sickly puppy. you're doing everything you can, but you are going to need veterinary help to keep her healthy. it could be as simple as allergies, but what you described in your question doesn't really have much to do with allergies. sounds like she has several things going on. take her to the vet as soon as you can. good luck.

I have the same breed of dog ( shes great!) and she is mostly white with freckles.
We feed her 2 cups of (dry)Nutro Natural chicken and oatmeal formula.
She has never had any of the problems you described.
You may want to call or visit the vet for a check-up.

Sounds very much like your girl has too much acid in her stomach, a trip to the vet would be advisable. maybe looking at what you are feeding her as well.

sounds as if this dog has been messed with too much ,
if you had left it natural you could have had less problems
next time you get a dog .why not accept it as it comes out of the mother.
