I just got an 11 week old teacup yorkie (she is tiny) Then acouple of days later my husband brought home an 11 week old maltese. THey were both from the same pupply palace. They assured my husband they would be fine together! It seems to be a nightmare! I cant tell if they are playing or fighting. I have them in a pen together and when they are sleeping they are fine but the minute they wake up they go at it. I have to sit in the pen with her to get her to eat beacuse he will devour her food and it seems once he touches it she wont eat anymore of it. Now she appears to have a little bald spot starting on the top of her head. WHen I let them out to run I have to hold him just so she can run around - he's like a big bruiser and she is just so tiny. I think I'm crazy for having 2 puppies at once. LOL He is very feisty and full of energy. I'm thinking maybe I need to seperate them BUT then when I do they want to be with eachother. Nighttime is nightmare they are up all night. HELP

then why are there so many up for adoption EVERYWHERE?

If you think about it, it doesn't make sense. I think it just goes to show that it really isn't the breed, it's the owner.

If they were all that terrible wouldn't the shelters euthanize them? They all have to pass temperament testing (for the most part) right?

Ok, me, a girl named erin, a girl named dasha, and a girl named kayla were all friends. Until kayla talked about erin and dasha behind their backs and i told erin and dasha. So now erin and dasha hate kayla. BUT erin and dasha have talked about people too. From then on all of us started to ignore kayla. i still want to be her friend. Kayla left the group to a new kind of group that i want to play with. I cant play with them though cause now that kayla is over there, erin and dasha dont want to go over there and i love and dont want to lose erin and dasha. I want to be with both groups but if i go with the other group erin and dasha will get mad at me and i wont be friends with them anymore but i want to play with the other group. WHAT SHOULD I DO?????

We have 2 dogs one a beagle, one a Bull Mastif (sp?) Both dogs are neutered and the last 2 weeks have unexpectedly ran away when let out to urinate. This is uncommon behavior for them, there are no changes in the household. Might they be smelling female dogs in heat?

I have a boxer ***** who is in heat and very much ready to be bred today is day 10 for her and she is flagging and backing up to the stud dog but he will not attemt to breed her, he is very interested in her but wont mount her. He is 5 years old and has had litters in the past. The only reason I can come up with is maybe it's b/c he's not in his normal surroundings, he was brought to my house instead of us taking her to him. He is staying with us for a few weeks. Any ideas or suggestions??

I have a five year old toy poodle who I am wanting to breed. I once heard that you should not breed a white poodle with a white poodle. My poodle is white and the poodle I am going to breed with is white and I was wondering if that would be okay? I was also wondering how many pups toy poodles usually have. My poodle weighs 8 pounds and the poodle I am going to breed with is about 5 pounds. I have never breed poodles but I have breed pit bulls for years so I don't what to expect from my poodle.

I have a 3 year old female yorkie and a 10 month old male yorkie. At times they proceed to chase each other around the house, and do this thing where they stand on their hind legs, lock front paws, and bare teeth, at times nipping one another. Sometimes, the female will pin the little guy by his shoulders to the ground and other times, she will get on top of him and grab him by the neck with her teeth. This may be a stupid question, but are they fighting each other when this behavior ensues or are they just playing rough? I've had the little guy for 7 months now and they have been like this for the past month. Sometimes they are very sweet to one another, i'll catch them sleeping together, or the female will bring the toys to the little one so that they can play, but then all of the sudden i just see them chasing each other and all of this growling and teeth baring begins and I don't know what to do. I just want to do something before it gets worse. Thanks!

This dog is at the local pound, I am trying to figure out the Breed, it is 1.5 years old, about 25 pounds, height is about knee high. the color is almost reddish in the sun. The Tail is bobbed. The dog is VERY muscled, but disposition seems very calm, but playful.
My first impression was Basenje, but the tail is not right and seems a bit different when I look at pictures.

I am planning on adopting this dog, so appreciate the help.

This is our dogs first litter of pups and she is 6 years old. This puppy was born without a tail and I am worried because I can not see an anus. (No Jokes) He has suddenly gone limp and is not opening his mouth any more. We just gave him some high protein lactose free milk by squirting through a small syringe. The puppy has no energy at all. I read on a site about low sugar level. It suggests to give glucose which I don't have. What can I give him right now? It is 3.30 am here and nothing is open (no Vets) so I need to use something I have at home.

I am getting a pitbull/boxer puppy, she is 5 weeks old. She is the runt of the litter, and they all been away from mother since 10 days the lady said. Is this too young? Will I have any extra problems since she wasnt really nursed by her mother? Will the dog grow up and behave badly cause of not being nursed by mom? I plan on getting her officially trained and all that, to avoid things. But any tips on house breaking? My biggest issue is doing her business in the house and chewing on the couches. Thanks in advance.

I got a dachshund a few days ago and he seemed to do really well with my 9 month old son and he did wonderful with me and my other dog as well as strangers and older kids. I've had him less than a week and he snapped at my son's face the second day I had him and bit him on the leg this morning! I am going to get rid of the dog, but I don't want to just put it in the pound to die. He's such a loving dog adults and older kids, but seems nervous around babies. The previous owner said he never showed any aggression towards their 2 year old. Do you think I could find him a good home with a house of older kids or adults?
