He'll be feeling much better already by tomorrow morning, especially if you have good pain medication from your vet (don't use aspirin or any other human medicine without checking with your vet... Ibuprofen, Alleve, Tylenol, etc are unsafe!)

The first night is the hardest. In my experience male dogs are nearly normal by day 2, and female dogs are nearly normal by day 4... but they should still take it very easy for the first 10 days to make sure: A, their incisions heal well, and B, they don't get excessive swelling.

It depends on if he had laser surgery or not. My dog was neutered by laser surgery and was back to normal by the end of the day. He was young, only 4 months old so I don't know if that made a difference or not but I know it was better than having stitches.

The vet will usually tell you how long the recovery rate is. For our pups, I think we were told they'd be drowsy for about a day, and to keep them mostly quiet and rested for a week until they had their stitches out...fat chance...one of them was running around like normal in two days, while I was frantically trying to calm him down LOL. It probably depends on the dog, but they tend to rebound pretty quickly! :)

Not long, probably a day or two...my dog Apollo (3 years old) got neutered this past summer '06. Make sure he gets his rest and he'll be just fine. =D

Usually in a day or two. My boyfriend's mother's pug was happy and hyper when he got home. Just make sure he isn't TOO active afterwards, even if he's feeling energetic. Good for you for neutering!

They do tend to bounce back fast maybe a day or two. Just don't let him over do it once he feels batter he still needs his rest.

Probably just 1 day. They bounce back fast. But don't let him bounce too much, or he might bust a stitch ;)
