She sleeps normal, except she twitches her mouth and shakes her legs for a few seconds at a time while she sleeps. Help! :-)

Hi, I have had my dog for about 3 years now and I cannot keep her anymore. She is a half german shepard and half sharpei. Does anyone know of a place in the LA county area that i can take my dog to? Like a rescue center or someplace, NOT like a shelter that puts dogs to sleep after awhile. I am willing to pay to go to a good home. Thanks

I'm thinking about buying a dog and I want a dog that is non-shedding or barely sheds at all. Are there any long-haired dog breeds that don't shed? And what about large dog breeds?

She has just started to become quite aggressive towrads strangers, especially men. She responds well to commands, knows who's boss, sits & waits for her dinner but can also be quite timid when diciplined. She is not desexed. Will this stop her being aggressive or how can I help train her that men are ok...?

she's 9yrs paper train.i have guest in my home for 7months and she now refuse to use paper she will go anywhere or hold it for two to three days and then doe's it anywhere in the house ,is she getting old or just being shady

I went to animal shelter after seeing a picture on their site of a beagle, 3yrs old. My boyfriend & i both like her and she seem to like us as well. she has to be spayed before we take her home, shes in heat so they have to wait. The shelter noticed it on the 5th of jan, I forgot to ask them how long dogs are in heat for? other question I have is: her former owners left her alone alot & had to get rid of her because she barked when left alone & the neighbors complained (not a problem for us oneof us is home all but 1 or less hour a day) The question is: is there ANY way we could prevent her from barking when we're not home & whats the best way to train her not to bark if she barks a lot? I know they are known for barking but shes a very calm dog & didnt bark at the shelter much at all!even when the other dogs were barking alot! also are there any good info. websites on beagles? what do u think of a crate for a dog that age that isnt used to one? is it nessessary?

When my hubby and I went on vacation we boarded our mini-collie and she came home with fleas. We got her itches taken care of with a good visit to the groomer and a flea dip but I was wondering what was a good purchase to make to kill the fleas that could be in the carpet and on the couch?

My GS is 2 yrs. old. She is extremely well behaved, loves other people, other dogs and my two cats. Does not like squirrels, though. We just got a smaller 6 month old Cavachon (a mix Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise). They are fine playing in the house together, but sometimes in the back yard when they are playing the running seems to get a little rough on the part of the GS. The Cavachon plays but will sometimes run to me or the porch to get away. When playing in the house the GS will bite at the little ones feet and body, but it does seem to be a gentle bite. Although just a minute ago, the GS started getting rough and I had to tell her to go lay down. I worry that one day the GS will look at the smaller one while playing outside and turn on her prey drive and hurt her. We have always followed Cesar Milan's training with the GS and she is calm and submissive with us. Even on walks, the GS walks just slightly behind, but beside us, ears back...submissive. Thanks.

My female dog, one of those really tiny ones, is in heat and I also have a male dog who's not quite big but no where near as small as she is. He's lately been licking her ears alot and I've seen him panting though I have not seen him mount her. He's all ready gotten a different female dog in the house pregnant, we currently have 6 puppies!!

I'm only 15, and my mother can't seem to find the time to take our male dog to get neautered. How can I step in and prevent another pregnant dog?

ok well i spilled some fish food on my carpet and i went to go get the vacume , i came back and my 25 pound boston terrier ate it all off the floor! She isnt acting any different but do you think shes gunna be ok ?

big dogs as well. They dont discriminate!!! NO two dogs are the same so why generalize them like that? I have a small dog that is MUCH better behaved than most big dogs and easier to play with and funnier!
