Go to any of the apt. rental website and you can type in the city you are in or want to move to and they all have boxes to check concerning things like how many bedrooms, bathrooms, and things like "Large Dogs Welcome" for instance. This will tell you what apts accept large dogs. THEN you need to talk to the manager and find out if there are BREED restrictions. Unfortunately there are many places that won't allow German Shepherds and some other large breeds. There are dog friendly places out there but it may be slim pickings.
Sometimes it's easier to find a place that accepts a large dog when it is a private rental, smaller property. Some properties cater to all dogs of all sizes. GL in finding the apt. you want.

I would go to a rental agency place and have them help you find an appt. Its free to you and have a varity of places and then you will know what places around you except pets.

You can also just ask the landlord if they would be willing to allow your dog. If it is a good dog and you have good references. some just want a per deposit and some you pay extra every month.

Really, all you're going to be able to do is check place to place, on individual policies.

I would go on the internet and search for "pet friendly rentals" in your city.

You could also place an ad in a local paper looking for a rental that will accept your dog.

You just need to call and talk to your potential apartment complexes. I do no that a lot of them in my area will accept large dogs, but they restrict certain breeds.
