First there is no such thing as a non-shedding breed but there are breeds that shed less noticeably.
These include
Most wire haired breeds (such as Border terriers, schnauzers, etc)
Most Curly Coated Breeds (Poodle, Portuguese Water Dogs, etc)
These breeds all require some type of grooming. Whether it is stripping the coat or shaping it.
As far as large breeds go there is the Giant Schnauzer and the Standard Poodle, as well as a couple others.
Breeds without hair will still have Dander.

Portuguese Water Dogs, Poodles (all sizes), basically any rough coated dogs will be a low shedding dog. What you want to look for are LOW DANDER dogs, and that may give you the best results on any search engine. If your concern is an allergy, its the dander that most are allergic to, so you may want to look into that. If you're worried about dog hair getting everywhere... don't get a dog. :) Get a fish.

All dogs shed. Some more than others. When looking for your dog dont fall for supposedly non shedders like Labradoodles (Laborador Poodle). Some shed as much as labs, and some dont shed as much, and there is no way you can tell if it sheds alot untill it's an adult. In order to decrease loose shed, brush your puppy, taking off loose hairs will help keep those under control.

Most long haired dogs will shed.
If you want a large dog that won't shed much, think Boxers, Dogue De Bordeaux (Hooch), and Dobermans.
Any other questions?

Shih-Tzus are small dogs that grow very long hair, and don't shed. They're great little dogs. But you have to brush them a lot to groom them.

Anything that are poodles are for sure. Anything ending with -oodle is mixed with a poodle. I'm sorry I can't list dog breeds but that would be a big clue!
