Is the because my girl dog is in heat? We are getting my girl fixed in a week should we go ahead and get my boy fixed also? or will he calm down after she is fixed?

We have a six month old neutered male yellow lab mix -- he is very sweet and fairly mild mannered. We'd like to get a second pup and wonder if gender matters or if it is just personality as to whether the two pups will get along and be pals. What is your experience?

My dog is always really really playfull and then they other day my boyfriend and I got into a really bad arugment and he would not come anywhere near us he laid at the bottom of the stairs and we cold not get him to come up can they feel emotions

ok my dog all of a sudden wouldnt eat. [[ and didnt for the next 3 weeks]] then he started loosing muscle and could barely walk. [[at the end of his time he had to b caried outside to go to the bathroom]] and he threw up some. we didnt want him to suffer so we eventually put him down :( WHY WAS MY POOR PUPPY LIKE THIS. o yeah the doctors ran many test but couldnt find y. we could have found out if we were able to do further test but we could not afford this and we did not have insureance for our dog...why oh why did my puppy have to die :( do u think u can diagnose him? wat wus the cause? his recent vacination? it was very VERY recent to his illness. hope u can help me thx bye

I am looking at a puppy that looks just like a boxer, but she's pure black---solid.The lady found the female dog abandoned and she was pregnant alreaday, so she doesn't know if the pups are all boxer or mixed.....Thanks for input..

They play a lot and get along well when we are home but they play very rough. They bite at each other and growl and roll around but seem to be playing. I am just worried that they might hurt each other. But the beagle pup REALLY wants to be with the pug and she cries horribly in her crate most of the day while we are gone.

My bf and I have only had our pomeranian pup 6 days but we love him and he is normally well-behaved. He is cage trained. His cage is in the bedroom (used at night) and his pen is in the living room (used in the day time). I am litterbox training him in the pen. He is doing incredibly well with it. The problem is: whenever I am more than 10 ft away --even within his sight-- he whines, yelps, and howls (in a tiny puppy way --LOUD, sounds like screaming baby!). After walking him, feeding him, playing with him, I would like to be able to sweep my dining area and clean the table without having the neighbors think I'm killing him. How can I silence him? Or is it even age-appropriate to expect him to play with his toys while I am 10 ft away? HELP!!!

I took her on a short walk to do her business and we we came in she started coughing and hacking up this white foam. It has me really concerned. She did not eat anything, I watched her the entire time. She starts breathing really hard and I called the vet they just said watch her....that didn't make me feel any better. I am really worried, can anyone help? :(

Does this ever work? Getting another dog to "train" the dog you already have? Like teaching it manners, what's right and wrong, who is actually the boss around the house. My dog is so, well, she just acts spoiled! We can't seem to get anything through to her. Any humane suggestions welcome. : )

I need some comments on how to raise my energy level. I am taking a full time upper level college courses. I have a pretty intense schedule with that. I also have a job at a cpa firm part time. I feel like i have no energy lately. i used to wake up at 9 or 10 am even on my days off. and now im sleeping till 12 30 1. and ready for a nap at 4. help. i know that i do not eat right. i need some ideas of what to help me gain more enegery and health. i do not eat any dark meat. i like fruits, but probably do not get enough of it. i dont like sea food. and i dont drink pop. i also have low blood sugar. if im sitting in class sometimes my mind just wanders and i get shaky , and once i eat a peice of candy or soemthing i feel better. help.
