He is probably just protecting his "mate" and that is why he bit your husband. I would get them both fixed, as he may never calm down.

You should get them both fixed right away. If you don't fix your male, he will get like this any time any dog in the neighborhood is in heat. He will also start trying to escape in order to meet UP with any dog nearby who's in heat. Neutering him will also prevent him from becoming aggressive (which is obviously a strong possibility if he bit your husband!). You might also look into taking him to obedience training. Sounds like he might not realize the humans rule the roost.

Unneutered males are usually more aggressive. If he were mine, I'd get him neutered and then start some obedience training. NO dog has the right to bite it's owner. No matter what! The fact that he bit your husband shows that he has no respect for your husband, and feels that your husband is lower in the "pack" status than he is. You guys need to put a halt to that kind of thinking right away.

You should really get both of them spayed and neutered - the sooner the better. He should be taken in right now - it's extremely stressful to a male to have a female in heat around, plus you have the chance of an unwanted litter if you don't keep them separated for the next 3 weeks. He'll also likely start peeing in the house because of her being in heat, he'll start howling, barking, maybe not want to eat.

Both of them will be healthier once they've been spayed and neutered.

on no account. each and every so often- each and every so often- they are much less energetic. It relatively relies upon on the character. If I have been you, i might advise adopting and chatting with the folk there approximately your concerns and the type of dogs you're searching for. they are going to do the final they are in a position to to help. collectively as that's greater efficient than buying a puppy because of the fact that's rescuing a dogs, it is likewise plenty safer on your guy or woman concerns in case you may opt to be reassured. quickly, no, it is not oftentimes real. I surely have had a male dogs and 2 woman dogs, and if something the male replaced into much less friendly. ladies are much less friendly in direction of one yet another, even with the indisputable fact that, so having 2 woman dogs isn't something i might advise.

Fix them both it is better for their health.
Neither one will get cancer and they will both be better pets.
He will not have the hormones working over time and should be less aggressive after being neutered. As he won't be worried about looking for love all the time. Removing the hormones will make him a better pet and he will not end up with an enlarged prostate or testicular cancer.

He will probably calm down after she is no longer in heat, but I would get him fixed just to be sure. good luck

Get them both altered (spayed/neutered). Although he will probably calm down once 'his woman' is spayed, neutering him will prevent aggression further down the line.
Altered pets are happy, healthy, mellow pets! :)

Get both fixed (and spayed and nuetered if they haven't been). This will help the world (and your husband) help make animals "better" in non-crazy pets.
