Pugs are great indoor dogs. They make great companions. The weight could be an issue though, my three love to eat so I have to watch their weight, but they are all under 20lbs. And, they love to snore, so be aware of that...:) They love to be cuddled and close by always. They get along with kids and other animals and have lovely personalities. I can only say that about my three, but from other pug owners I have heard the same as well.

It depends on what group of dogs you are looking for, small, medium, large, toy, working group, non working group. Only YOU can determine the answer. Asking people and relying on their answers is not going to get you what you want because they are not you, they have their own opinions which may be completely opposite of yours. Go and research this on your own. If you want to get a dog then it is YOUR responsibility to go out there and find the BEST fitting dog for you. I could say that the best inside dog is an English Mastiff which weighs around 200 pounds. But I am sure you think otherwise. There is also Shnauzers which are great with kids and people. If you want a fun and big dog get a boy mixed dane. My friend has one and hes really fluffy and silly and every one loves him! hope that helps! =]

Get a Cavalier King Charels Spaniel! They are exelent dogs that like 2 cuddle with you but can be left alone too. They weigh between 10-16 pounds and like to sleep cuddle and do pretty much whatever you do. Thet dont need a yard and a daily walk will do. They love to lick you and have beautiful fur. They are ruby(brown), Belinghem(white and brown), tri-color(black, brown, white) and white and tan. They are amazing dogs with a lot of affection. Though they do need to be groomed. Also they dont bark much.
Hope i've helped.

I have a Schnoodle and he is a wonderful inside dog. He is happy just sitting with us and he really doesn't like to be outside much. He is only about 12 pounds and is about 10 inches tall.

Schnauzer. they do not shed and are right at or under 20lbs. some can be yappy but others are call and quiet. they need some kind of exercise (like a walk in the morning is perfect for the day) and they love to cuddle; especially if they are cold, they will crawl into your lap! they are SO cute! they look like puppies! (when their ears are not cropped)

Pugs!! They dont need a whole lot of exercise and they need to be kept indoors. They are truly lap dogs. They are very sweet and will follow you around all over the house. They do require a lot of your attention though.

The toy or miniature Poodle would be a very wise choice. You'll never be happier with a dog than with the Poodle.

For me, i'd have to say a toy fox terrier. At the most they weigh only eight pounds, and if you keep them away from other dogs, it'll be just peachy. They're really loveable, and you can get a quiet one, or a sorta hyper one. They're really precious. I have 2 right now. Just make sure too keep them away from your garbage ;)

Pomeranians are my vote! they are small and very loving! i have one and every day when i come home you can see her whole face lite up because shes happy to see me! plus the do not shed a lot and they arn't too hyper it just depends if u train them not to be. They do bark though but mine is learning when its ok to at the moment. really it depends if u train a dog rite to be a good dog.
