Okay not to be mean but I think my dog is a little mentally retarded...when I correct him and tell him to go to his bed or to the corner or something he acts like he is going to do it but then tries to bite me when I go to pick him up to bring him there or correct him, because he becomes a statue and wont move to where I wanted him to because he feels like he doesnt half too and then after correcting him he shakes for hours and hours on end to get someone attention because he acts like he was abused, believe me I tap him compared to what I think he should get and then whimpers and makes noises till someone picks him up and if no one does he goes to run off to someone who he knows will give him pitty and snuggle him after he got correct, what the heck do I do because he is learning nothing when I correct him this way!!!

Ok heres what is going on!! The person im married to son (hes 18 by the way and still in school) around christmas got his g/f a chocolate lab as a present..However the pup stays here never goes to his gfs house and he is hardley ever here and so we are left taking care of it...We are up all night every night taking care of this dog becasue he is trying to crate train it and it wakes up ever 30 min wanting out so we never get any sleep..However they wont make him get rid of the dog even tho they know how I feel about the situation. I made it clear that it was not right that this pup was brought in and didnt even ask if it was ok..Then we end up taking care of it more than he does..Also if it was a christmas present why doesnt his gf have it at her house.. I know the answer to last question and thats because her parents wont let it stay there..I dont want it here either but its not my kid so how do I get it out of this house?

Ok guys. I asked a question the other day about this and since then we have come up with 3 names we like. He is a 7wk old black labradoodle puppy. The first name is Sirus (Sie-rus). I like this name because it is strong, easy to call, and masculine. The second name is Ozzy. This is the name my mother likes and is sort of a neutral between mine and my sisters. The third is Cosmo. It is ok, buy my sis is the one that likes it the most. I think we will get tired of it after so many years but I thought I would see what you guys have to say. Also if you have some names throw them at me. Thanks!!

I need some advice on these kind of dogs. Do they have to have a certain kind of diet? Do they need a lot of room to run around? Any information would help. I am not very fond of big dogs so that is why I would prefer a breed like the yorkie. Also, I am getting the puppy at a pretty inexpensive price ($400), should I be alarmed? I know that these type of dogs can be very expensive.

is there such thing as a written guarentee of health? then she gave some info on taking care of e dogs... n this is what she said "So i will want you to get Full Name,Address,Contact Phone Number with your nearest airport for the delivery for the puppy and the payment method that is allowed now through western union money transfer and as soon as your payment is confirmed by my shipping company the puppy will be shipped out to you urgently and i will like to inform you that's the best way of making the payment it is secured and faster. The puppy is asking for $250 including shippin

He's only 9 weeks and very bright. He mouths and chews but this is herding and we have children coming to visit regularly. Our last collie ran around us but never used his teeth.

I have a 3 month old Cocker Spaniel and has been doing wonderful on house training (crate training) just 2 days ago though he started this thing where when men pet him (this has happened 4 times) he pees.... just alittle. This is something I would really like to stop if I can. Is he just "marking" his territory, or something else.... he wasn't really excited when they pet him either, just came up to them. (he dosen't do this to my husband) Please help

I have a female mastiff/ american bulldogg mix puppy she is 2 months old and on Friday I noticed she was walking with her front legs bowed and she doesn't seem to be walking with her paw completely flat it is sort of turned to the side I took her to the vet and she said that with large breed dogs they sometimes get to much nutrition and to take her off puppy food and feed her adult food and hopefully this will help! Has anyone every heard of this if so can you please explain it to me a little better I am not to sure i understand completley!!

Our 2 year old Jack Russell follows our 1 1/2 year old daughter around and growls at her all the time. But sometimes she pulls his tail and ears. Most of the time he growls for no reason though.

I came home last night and noticed blood on the floor so I checked her ear and blood was just pouring out. We called the 24 hour vet hospital but they wanted too much money when we came in, they wouldn't work out a payment plan, and we don't have the money. I got the bleeding to stop and we plan on taking her to her vet tomorrow but we are wondering if we should just put her to sleep. She is 17 and for the last year or maybe longer it has been one ear infection after another. Antibiotics don't work anymore. We have spent so much money at the vet and my husband has been out of work since last year we just don't know what to do.

Does it really work? How long is it normally between times of having to do it again? I'm considering buying one but wanted some firsthand experience first. Thanks!

My dog is 6 months old, mini douchshund.. For the past 3 days he has been throwing up once in the morning but nothing comes up.. it looks like yellow liquid or stomach acid..? a few days ago i thought maybe he had a hair ball or something... so i didnt think too much of it. My dog is potty trained but for the past two days in a row before i even woke up he pooped three times in a row even once on the bed and its very soft and watered poop not very solid at all like it usually is!!! (which he had NEVER done even when he was potty training) Like as soon as he woke up he just went! I took him out lastnight but he wouldnt go poop. Now this morning he gagged up the same liquid.. hes now curled up into a little ball laying down, i think he has the chills but i cant tell if maybe hes just cold?? I dont know what to do!! and I dont have alot of money to take him to the vet.. Does anyone know what these symptoms could be? and do vets take payment plans?
