Don't overdo it with the direct eye contact - its the easiest way to provoke an attack. With some dogs you won't even see it coming.

You should never stare a dog right in the eyes. Its a dominate thing, some dogs may be ok with it, but if you are not sure the dog may decide they are your master not the other way around..not a good thing to do unless its your dog and you already know you are its pack leader. If that is the case then your dog will look away from you indicating they respect you as their master..if they dont look away they are challenging you as to who is boss.

No, in fact you are in danger of being hypnotized by the dog. If this happens what you are made to do really depends upon whether or not the dog likes you.

No b/c all you are doing is telling the dog (by looking them in the eyes continuously) is showing them who is boss. If they do however turn their heads away and seem fearful or jittery, they are being shown who is boss. But they will only do that if they KNOW that YOU ARE THE BOSS! Especially if they are your dog.

You do not hypnotize them, you establish dominance over them. A big word of caution with this...some dogs resist this and will attack!

I wouldn't suggest to stare at your dog's eyes, they tend to take it as a challenge and he might become aggressive (like barking at you really loud) so avoid it!

No, but most dogs feel like that's a threat. Like you are challenging them.

Yes. He/she will do whatever you want. For example, cook dinner, clean the house and pick the kids up from school.
