how about smokey? Because it's an 'air'dale, what about naming it after an aeroplane?
eg
Beau (Beaufighter)
Spitfire
Hawker
Tempest
Mustang
Tiger (Tigermoth)
Clipper
Jenny
Kitty (Kitty Hawk)
just an idea...

name her after something she likes doing or a physical characteristic. my cat's called Wallace because i have a dog called Gromit. a friend has a dog called stump because someone cut off his tail when he was a pup.
a good way to see if the name is good is when you yell it in the park. some chinese names like bi bi (baby), bo bo, mi mi etc. sound terrible because can you imagine yelling those at the top of your voice to get your dog to come to you?? lol
and please not jade, because 1. it's a precious thing in chinese culture used for emperor's jewelry and 2. it's my name... haha!
