Do I have to post "Beware of dog" signs in my unfenced yard? The dog is trained to know her boundries. Also should they be posted on the house (at the door etc.)? Legally?

Before I got a dog, I saw an item in a catalog that was advertised as an "enzymatic dog waste dissolver" where you just had to spray it on dog poop and it would dissolve into an organic liquid fertilizer and get absorbed into the ground. I've been looking online but can only find the Dog Dooley which requires a container. I'm looking for an option that does not require the scooping and handling of the poop. Thanks!

I absolutoley love chihuahuas to death! When I move out of my parents' "nest" I want a chihuahua to be my buddy while I'm at college. At work a few chihuahuas came in for something when I was working with a pitbull at the time. (I'm a part time vet. nurse)

I just wanted to know if anyone had a chihuahua so they could tell me if they have any medical problems they are prone to. (Yeah, I know... I should know this stuff)

Also, some PRO's and CON's of having these adorable babies!

I do realize that living by myself with a dog while I'm studying isn't very satisfactory for most people. Also, that getting a dog only because your lonely isn't very good, either. I know that if I want to be a responsible dog owner that I've got to focus on my ability to meet a dog's long term needs rather than a dog's ability to meet my short time needs. (words of my boss) But, I'm afraid that I'll lose my sanity if I have no contact with the "outside world" while I'm locked away reading books. HELLP!

When I approach my dog she puts her head down and acts scrared. I've never hit or yelled at my dog or hurt her in anyway. I got her when she was a pup and know the breeder which takes good care of her dogs. I don't understand, she has never been abused or anything so why does she act like this and how can I change it? thx

I am looking into getting a siberian husky. But I am unsure if they can be kept indoors or should they be kept in an outdoors pen or kennel. I would feel cruel if I left it outside whn I really didnt have to. Any ideas?

I knew the chocolate part but that was the first time I have ever heard about the grapes. What is it about grapes that could harm dogs? What is it in chocolate that can harm dogs?

I am debating on a German Shepherd or a Siberian Husky. Me and my husband have a 14 month old son and a 6 year old daughter. He says I can get whatever kind of puppy I want. Which would be the best for a family? I also want one that will be protective as I am alone with my son everyday, and with my daughter, when she gets home from school.
Thanks a bunch.

She has been digging in the trash, putting her paws up on the table to pull off food, ate a chapstick yesterday, pulled popcorn off the coffee table last week. She has never been this way before is there anything I can do to stop her? Maybe get another dog if she is doing it because she is bored?

They said that she threw up and on their way to the vet she died. She was very playful on Friday and seemed healthy. Although she had breathing problems that they had been working on.

I have had asthma for just over a year now and it is getting progressively worse. Last case ended in pneumonia and hospital stay. My dog is two and very boisterous, but his worse habit is that of wetting/marking his territory in my bedroom of all places, it really stinks and ruins pillows and duvets. Not being too well I forgot to put board up stairs to stop him getting up, is the only solution to rehome as the smell is vile and makes me heave and also I find changing the duvet etc so hard what with all the extra dust etc.

He jumped my fence the other day and fell 20 ft to the ground. Please don't tell me to get him neutered as he's 8 and too old. He's a cross ridgeback......

Pls help, my bf is driving me mad, he says that i am mean for not letting our dog sleep in our bed & has now taken to sleeping on settee with dog (sad i know), he is foreva telling me i am mean because i do not give in to her. at 1 point i refused to let her on the settee/chairs but he has given into her & lets her on them, anyone would think he is having a relationship with the dog i think she even believes they are as she is foreva by his side, sat on his lap for cuddles & cries for him if he goes for a bath or goes out for a while, he treats her like a baby i am now getting to the point where i am resenting the dog (& him). pls help & give some advice on what i can do.

For the first 1 day it did not go poop at all, but for the size dog it is ate alot of food. The next day, finnaly he was comfortable enough to go. He went alot with no problems, but he just kept pooping. The last bit of his pooh had blood in it.

If this DOES NOT happen again, is there any reason for concern?
