Boxers are very sporty type dogs--they need to get allot of exercise--and attention--what she has found is that when she does these things she does in fact get attention--and they don't care if its positive or negative attention--try taking her for daily runs maybe even twice a day--and if she is digging in the trash she could be in fact hungry--does she have dry chow-chow at her disposal all the time??--some people choose to feed twice a day--as for myself my dogs always have dry food when ever they want it--and they are not overly fat by any means but they also get plenty of exercise Have you made the mistake of giving her people food?? That will also cause a dog to take food or get it from the trash--

Your dog can't be out and about without being 100% supervised. If you can't devote 100% of your attention to her, she goes in her crate. This won't be a 'punishment' for her, nor should it ever be. She needs exercise and a job to do - a class in agility and/or obedience will help a lot. Do not get another dog in order to solve this problem - work with the dog that you have and manage her environment so that she can't steal reinforcements from your countertops, etc. Work on reinforcing the behaviors that you do want and always have treats on hand so that she's getting paid for the good stuff she does!

I grew up with boxers and they are WONDERFUL dogs. However they do need to be trained and if they are feeling like they are not getting enough attention they will act out to try and get it. Negative attention to them is better than no attention.
I would take her to some classes and maybe give her some extra TLC. She will be fine. Getting another dog would not be the solution as she might get jealous and act out more.

are you giving her enough attention? maybe she feels you are ignoring her. If she keeps doing this, put her in her kennel/cage when you have food out for a while, and then start leaving her out again but if she gets to close scold her, and if she doesnt back away or go lay down, put her back in her cage. -
we got a childs lock for our garbage with our dogs, that really helped. -
make sure you give her plenty of praise when she is doing what you want, and play with her before dinner, that way shes tired and will lay down while you eat? thats what I did with my boxer for thanksgiving, she was passed out on the couch the whole time we ate (20 of us) dinner.

you are able to favor to attempt a nutrition with a higher factor of fiber. The fiber in the nutrition will make her poo more suitable agency and per chance keep her from going so oftentimes. i'd atleast provide the vet a hoop and enable them recognize what is going on. have you ever had a fecal attempt achieved on her at present to envision for inner parasites? good success!

You need to train your dog. Why get another dog, when you are unable to keep this one in check? You'll have 2 dogs getting into things instead.

don't get another dog,,, you haven't trained this one yet,, then you will have two untrained dogs.... your dog sounds like she needs tons more exercise. She should be crate trained also. you might like to join an obedience class - that would help you both
