Before I got a dog, I saw an item in a catalog that was advertised as an "enzymatic dog waste dissolver" where you just had to spray it on dog poop and it would dissolve into an organic liquid fertilizer and get absorbed into the ground. I've been looking online but can only find the Dog Dooley which requires a container. I'm looking for an option that does not require the scooping and handling of the poop. Thanks!

There used to be a product you attached to the end of your garden hose. You would place it squarely over the poop and the force of the water would dissolve it into the ground. Don't know if it still exists. You could try asking at one of the major pet department stores.
Obviously, a garden hose with a high pressure nozzle could pretty much accomplish the same thing, but you have to deal with the contaminated spray and pieces of feces bouncing all over the place. The item I'm thinking of had a sort of housing that went around the poop and kept the back spray contained.
But, hey...just carry a plastic grocery bag around with you, put your hand in the bag, pick up the poop, turn the bag inside out and tie off the end. Your hands never touch it.

Try to keep your dogs diet as natural as possible. Organic type mix. And as mentioned... use lots of water. Some foods break down more quickly than others.
We have larger breed dogs and they choose to utilize our ground covering ivy patches. This works well as we never have to see what they dumped. And the two patches are approx 8 ft in dia., our neighbor uses the same method. Works well for us. Possibly you can train your pet to use a certain area, and mulch it with leaves or such until a ground covering grows.
Otherwise you must obied by local laws. There are many 'tools' available to make the experience as pleasant as humanely possible. Good luck!

I have never heard of such a thing. It would be a both positive and negative to dog poop though.

I've personally never heard of a dog waste dissolver, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.Try typing enzymatic dog waste dissolver in your search bar. You may be able to find some info about it there.

You can spend a lot of money on that stuff or just go to your local hardware store and pick up a bag of lime powder. It helps to quicken decomposition. It is also used to reduce acid of the urine.

yes you can buy it from petedge.com but if you don't even want to scoop the poop to place it in there. you don't need a dog. the dog's not going to poop directly in it.
