For what? For dogs? Because that is the forum you've posted your question in.

Myspace is not "safe". Mysapce is an open door for peophiles. (Among other things.) I do, however, have an account, but I am 30 years old and know better. There is a reason that myspace comes with a warning and an age limit.

As far as dogs go, I'm pretty sure Dogster is a safe place for them to put up profiles and get together.

It isn't safe, but I use it anyway. ONE TIP: If you're already signed in and it asks you to sign in, look at the web address. It's not safe. It's a replicated page of the myspace sign in page and if you sign in, you're gonna get a virus. I hate myspace, but all my friends are there, so yeah... People on there can also give you viruses, so if you receive something and you don't know who it's from, delete it, don't open it, and then you're safe in that perspective. One myspace advertisement gave over one million users a virus and myspace came up with a lame excuse, so myspace couldn't be sued. GAH!

If you put up your information to the public obviously its dangerous, but you do that at your own risk. It is never required. As for righting over it-thats just immature. Just play it safe, and you should be fine. I have been a member for a long time and never once had anything bad happen to me! Myspace on!!!

I have been on it for years now and have had no problems.

The key is it is as safe as anything else on the internet.
If someone really wanted to get access to you...they could do it any number of ways.

Practice regular safety tips. Don't give out your real name, age, address, even school.

If you sign in as under 14 (even if you are older) this makes it private and they have to get approved before they can look at your page.

Change your password as much as possible. I do it every week.

If you need further tips...just ask yourself "would I want a stranger knowing this" before you put it on there.

Myspace is safe. You just need to know what information to keep to yourself.

it depends if your are smart enough to protect yourself. and those stories you heard are true, but its those peoples fault, they were stupid and gave out info, and agreed to meet people thye dont know. im sure you are a smart person, and you CAN protect yourself, and myspace will help you if you have a problem. hope this helps =)

yeah like you said it's safe if youre not a dumbass and put all your info on there like where you live, your phone number, school you go to,where you work, etc.

i think it's safe if you put some personal info but not all..like you put which school you go to but say you live in a different state/country.

and put your profile on private.

well I dunno but you can set you profile to private so only your friends can see it and then you can set it to where the ppl who want to be your friend have to know your real name and or email so I guess you can be safe if you know to protect your self but alot of ppl do put too much info about themself and where they live which is how they get hurt
