Ok guys. I asked a question the other day about this and since then we have come up with 3 names we like. He is a 7wk old black labradoodle puppy. The first name is Sirus (Sie-rus). I like this name because it is strong, easy to call, and masculine. The second name is Ozzy. This is the name my mother likes and is sort of a neutral between mine and my sisters. The third is Cosmo. It is ok, buy my sis is the one that likes it the most. I think we will get tired of it after so many years but I thought I would see what you guys have to say. Also if you have some names throw them at me. Thanks!!

I definitley like Sirus better than Ozzy and Cosmo. Ozzy reminds me of Ozzy Osbourne and Cosmo reminds me of Cramer off of Seinfield. How about Achilles (A kee lees) like the Greek mythic hero?

Cosmo is the cutest. I don't think I could spend the next several years calling a dog Ozzy or Sirius.
Also look to Shakespeare or mythology for other ideas. My dog's name is Brutus and it's very fitting for him. Find one that may fit his personality. With mythology it's easy since a lot of the gods have names befitting their personalities, like Thor or Zeus, etc.

If it's coming from Ozzy Osbourne, then going with other musical names, maybe Johnny Rotten or Sid Vicious or something? But those are pretty long for a dog name, so.. uhhh.. Sam? Haha, I don't know. Good luck!

Walk around saying/yelling the names about a 100 times a day. Pick the one you hate the least. LOL. Really,you will be repeating it MANY times with a pup. I wouldn't worry about getting tired of the name over time though as most dogs end up with many nicknames they recognize too. Good luck!

I think Sirius would be excellent. It is like you said, easy to call, strong, etc. Plus Sirius is the dog-star, and in the Harry Potter books, Sirius Black can turn into a big shaggy dog (like a labradoodle kind of lol, big and shaggy). If your puppy is black, that would be even more fitting.
