i have a 4 month old pitbull and have had her for about 2 months now. She has had all her shots and she has been checked out by the vet a couple of times and they say she is in perfect health. Well, a couple of weeks after i got her i seen this what looked to be like a dirt on her stomach so i tried to wipe it off and it wont come off. and i noticed she has two dirt looking spots on her stomach by her legs. I say dirt spots cuz it looks like it's dirt but it's not, it wont come off. It looks red and theres like a little pimple of the of the spots. She has 3 spots and there not gettin any smaller. anyone have an idea of what this is? or how i can treat it?

My friend's pet corgi has developed a limp, shall he take her to the vet? Is the most obvious cause she's got some glass in her foot? My friend works all day and his dog has a dog walker that comes in, he has told the dog walker to only let the dog out in the garden. Should he see how things develop or take the dog to the vet tmrw morning, or leave things until Mon morning?

to the owners of huskies , do you have your dog outside during the day while you work? not to the ones that have them in the house.
some days I feel guilty for leaving our 1yr old husky outside, she looks like she is having fun in yard, she runs on a runner. and chases the birds in trees.
some days though. I still feel a little guilty for leaving her outside, even though her breed is made for the cold weather. and she loves being outside.
just wondering how other owners of huskies that have them outdoors dogs. do you have time to play with them outside yourself, or what is usually your routine, when you work?? only curious.
I have 17yr and spends her time with her video games. we live in ohio. winter time now till march or april.

I live and work about 13 hours away from my hometown and where my family still lives. When I go home to visit, I usually fly because I cannot stand being on the road 13 hours. However, I am really wanting to get a small dog (10lbs or under) and I'm wondering if it is difficult to fly with a pet. I have looked up several airlines pet policies and it looks like a lot of them do allow pets. For those of you who have flow with pets (or know more about flying with them than I do) please advise me on whether or not its difficult to have a pet and be able to fly home on occassion. I usually go home a few times a year (usually around the holidays). Of course, I probably wouldn't take my pet with me everytime, just occasionally if I stayed home to visit for a while. Thanks!

My puppy likes to bite. And she was playing with my other dog and my puppy was biting her neck and my dog looked like she enjoyed it she was wagging her tail and everything. Is that just the way they play???

Because it looks like shes being really aggresive but she's not in my opinion.

what do you think????

I got a female Lhasa Apso puppy from the pet shop near my house a few days ago. She was 7 weeks old when I got her. I paid $1400 for her but as her price was dropped from a stupid $1900 - I decided to get her as not only a good bargain but I had been looking for a Lhasa breeder for several months and the prices were very high ($2000+) and none had litters available at that time. When I got her, she had kennel cough, was limping a little, was sneezing a lot and had crust around her eyes. I was told that the kennel cough and the sneezing would pass in a few days and it was only because she was stressed after coming to the store. The shop had a 42 hour health guarantee on her - that was 5 days ago. The kennel cough hasn't gone away so I purchased some over the counter medication for her and it is slowly clearing up. The sneezing hasn't stopped and she is now weeping from the eyes. Her right eye has crusted almost fully over and I got very worried.

We just lost our 3 yr old labrador suddenly 1 1/2 weeks ago and we will be wanting to get a new puppy but one that stays small. I am from Australia so what are some good breeds that are avilable here.
I am 15 and usually at home when im not at school or at work(once aweek) but my mum is always at home, so there is always somebody there.
We want a small dog that stays small and does have very long hair (that requires much grooming).
We also don't want to pay a fortune so under $260 aussie dollars.
We like the look of a pomm x aussie terrior, but we want suggestions!!!!

And also what can I do to speed up the process of getting a new puppy. My mum does want a new dog but she is saying not just yet. How can i try to convince her to get one soon.
I am a big pet lover so is my family.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
ALL WILL BE APPRECIATED.

Got any ideas, and directions on how to teach them?
my dog's great, she already knows sit, and come, and she just recently got fixed, but is overall healthy. She walks fine off the leash, i can even let her in my front yard (which has no fencing), and not have to worry about her running off, even if there are other people or dogs running around, she just sits there like a good dog, and i didn't even train her that! i just want some more tricks to be able to teach her, because she seems to be able to catch on very quickly and i don't want to waste that!

Thanks a Bunch!!
