Hi,
Yes you can show a castrated dog in the uk,at any show providing you have permission in writing from the KC.
It can be frowned upon but if you have your letter to show the judge,i don't really see any reason why if he is a good example breed he should not be placed.
Good luck.

No, dog shows/conformation is an evaluation of breeding stock. Since your dog will be altered, and should not be breed because of the 1 testicle issue, you cannot compete with this dog.
BUT!!!!! You can compete in all other sanctioned dog events with an altered dog like obedience, hunting, rally, earthdog, depending on the breed.
You CAN compete in showing with an altered dog when it's in the veterans class because at that time the animals are usually done being bred. And that class is usually only offered at specialty dog shows, not all breed shows.

Exemption shows, fun matches, performance events are your choices. I have never seen a judge NOT with their hand check to make sure that the testicles are where they belong on a dog.
The reason for showing a dog in a point show is to prove the dogs value as a breeding prospect. So why would you want to show one that can't be bred???

There are NO disqualifying faults at KC shows. You can show your dog, but he is unlikely to be placed. I've never been to a show which has classes for neutered dogs. You don't say how old your dog is but testicles have been known to descend at 12 months and beyond. If they don't come down, it is advisable to have him castrated because of the increased risk of the undescended one becoming cancerous.

you can show him at exemptions shows. Since showing is to promote the breed and breed standard and betterment of the breed (i.e. breeding a better specemin) then your dog is not elligible because he is not a good example of the breed (he has a hereditary defect). If you told the breeder you bought him off, that you wanted to show him, and she sold you a pup which could not been show, you can ask for another pup or get your money back. He is not fit for the purpose which you bought him for.

How old is your puppy? and why does he have to be neutered ? Dogs with one testicle would loose points in a show, I think they are called monarchid or something similar. I have know dogs where the other testicle dosnt decend untill they are quite old. So unless your vet has told you different I would wait to see what happens

i thought that you can show a castrated male dog as long as the forms have been filled in with the kennel club and it was for medical reasons. the only thing is the dog is most unlikely to be placed i will check this with the kennel club for you and get back to you

. You can not show a dog with one ball at championship show or open. But poorly for fun you can go to exemption shows and put him in the fun classes
