It could be just an upset tummy or maybe something worse, I always ask when someones puppy or dog isnt eating and has diarrea if the dog in question is current on vaccines? PARVO is a big risk for dfogs and more comman in puppies it can be deadly its symptoms are vomiting diarrhea with or without blood and listlessness and no appitate or vomiting stright after eating. Vaccines can prevent this illness treatment is expensive and doesn't always work if not caught in time. On another note pupies of all breeds some more then others are all know to have sensitive tummys, also puppies seem to always get into something they shouldn't...shopping lits/cake wrapers/garbage cans ect ect it can cause upset tummies as well as internal nlockages which need to be fixe dby the vets. I'ts likely nothing if he or she is current on all vaccines if the pup isnt current on vaccines and doesn't eat tomorrow m0orning get him or her to a vet right away.
Hope it helped ;)

Your dog may have stopped eating because he or she is fretting for some reason. Similarly it might be that there is some physical reason for this. I don't know how long your dog has not been eating for, but if this is more than a day or so, you might want to talk to a veterinary surgeon. In the meantime, if your dog is taking fluids this will prevent dehydration. In the event that your dog is not taking fluids either, then you should seek a vet's advice promptly.
Best wishes to you both, J

If it is "just" a case of your dog not eating and there are no other signs of things being wrong ( as alot of other people have pointed out very well) the try other foods. fresh chicken always works when my GSD is off his food. also try hand feeding your dog, just a little at a time. but as with the answers, consult a vet, your dog may of swallowed something, which will need to be sorted out immediatly.

Have you changed dog foods recently (if so, s/he may not like the change) if you haven't changed food......Please take your dog to the vet or aleast call and explain all of the symptoms to the vet.....My vet has always told me that one of the worst symptoms of a serious illness in a dog is when the dog stops eating.....hope everything is okay!

I'd take the dog to the vet. I had this problem when we moved into our new house. Come to find out, it wasn't that the dog was sick, proven by stool sample the vet took, he just didn't like where I put his dish. I thought the laundry room would be the ideal place, I was wrong! I guess he was afraid of the washer and dryer, or he just wanted to eat out where we were. I moved his dishes, and he began to eat normal. Silly me!!! lol

Depending on other cue signs too, he might be really sick. Is he lethargic, is he playing, has he gone to the bathroom or vomitted recently? Is he drinking water? These are questions that your vet will ask you, and I would say if you answered yes to any of the above, you need to take him to a vet ASAP.

Most of all your dog needs fluids so make sure he/she is getting plenty of water. Are there any other symptoms........being ill, depressed etc. You really need to take your dog to the vets straight away.

If he goes for more than a day without eating he needs to see a vet. He might be ill, or have toothache, or even something stuck in his throat.

your question is not very informative, what age is the dog, how loing has he not eaten, has he been sick, or having toilet problems?? he might have swallowed something? is he depressed (ie moping around). Potentially it could be serious and you may need to take him to a vet.
