I think dogs always make a person's life better, because they will love you unconditionally. a dog would still love someone who mistreated him, starved him, or neglected him. my dog makes me more active, keeps me from feeling lonely, is always happy to see me, and also cracks me up every single day! owning a dog is a gift, and in return for what my dog gives to me, i try to give him the best life i possibly can! there are so many mistreated dogs out there that i think a lot of the time people make their lives worse! of course there are plenty of wonderful dog owners out there too who makes their dogs lives wonderful. this is a tough question to really answer!

both; I think that by people making dogs lives better, the dogs make peoples lives better but in some cases the reverse can also be said, by dogs making people's lives better, the people make the dogs' lives better.

My new dog has definitely made my life better. It's so weird to think I love her so much! Especially one who loves on you and licks on you. Some people think that is gross but I know I love it! I think in the case of someone who is lonely, or old, dogs definitely make their lives better. My grandfather had a pomeranian that he loved so much. I know it was his joy in life before he died. Pets in general help humans live longer too. I've seen that statement many times.

People can also make dogs lives better. Especially if they've never really had a home before. If you know what you are doing, your dog can live long and happy.

Definitely a two way street. I think its just like a relationship with a human, both people benefit. Our dogs bring us so much joy, but think about how much happiness we bring them too.

They definately make our lives better. No matter what, mad, sad, glad, sick......whatever....they are there.

A kiss from a canine friend always makes things a little better!
