This little puppy is 9 weeks old. He is very cute but the breeders want the same price as the other puppies. Should I stay away form that puppy and look at other at the same breeder different bitches? Or just stay away all together. I am not sure what to do.
Thanks

I have a pom and she is mostly nice to everyone in my family. Unless she doesn't want to be picked up then she growls viciously and tries to nip. When strangers come over though she is very mean towards them and will not be quite unless they play with her or leave.Does anyone have an answer to this?

One's definitely worse than the other. I just recently gave them a bath with some flea shampoo i picked up at the pet store, and at bath time it seemed to have worked. I'm not finding many but still finding some fleas, and the little guy's really itchy.

My dog had puppies 3 days ago and I'm afraid to even leave the house for 30 minutes but we're going out of town soon and someone is coming once an hour to check on them- is that ok?

I was at the dog park today and ours is split into a little and a big dog park. I keep my medium size dog there b/c he gets annoying round little dogs. This guy had a puppy and my dog was playing with him and barking at him but not being mean or biting or anything. I always stay on my dog when he does stuff like this. I make him leave the dog alone b/c it's annoying when he barks at other dogs
The owner of the puppy was being weird about it. He seemed normal but then he would tell my dog to back off when it seemed like my dog wasn't doing anything out of the normal.
It's not like the puppy wasn't following my dog around. The puppy was trying to play with my dog too.
Anyways, as they left they picked up the puppy and my dog thought ohh you picked it up must be a toy and my dog jumped up to the man not barking, just jumping. (my dogs only knee high by the way, not a "big" dog at all)
So this guy pushes my dog down hard. He hit the ground. I was extremely angry. what would you do?

He is seven months and weighs 17lbs. Very active and barks a lot. Loves to burrow and dig. Very head-strong but loves to snuggle. We are thinking he is mixed with jack russell. What do you think????

My dog is a 10 month old bichon frise cross mini poodle, and has recently been desexed. She now has become very naughty - chewing everything when she didn't used to. She also has lost her 'toilet trained' skills, as she now does her business wherever she feels like it. Is this common? And, more importantly, what can I do to help with the problem?

she is one yr old and she was diagnosed this week. Unfortunately the cancer has spread to her regional areas and chemo is not an option for us. The vet has given her Tramadol for pain relief and cortizone to maybe help slow it down. We are devastated and have spent most of the week crying as she was a gift last Christmas from my daughter to my son. Our baby is very much loved and as you can imagine is being spoilt more than usual for whatever time we have her left for. My question is: Do we stay at her side when the time comes for her to leave us and what does the vet actually do when a pet is put to sleep. This is our first family pet and I am in a dilemma on if to encourage my son to be with her at the time (however it will always be his choice - he is 13). Can someone please tell me the process on dog euthanasia in Australia. I would appreciate this very much.

Thankyou

Don't mixed dogs have superior genetics? I believe Science says that genetic varience creates a better individual.

I have been researching different dog breeds, mostly just for fun. I just moved out of my parents house and into an appartment a few months ago. I don't want to get a dog until i get a house, which will be a year or more down the road, so i want to make sure i get the right dog when i get it. I have been researching the dog a little, and will do so more. I understand that they are protective of their family, which is what i want. But i don't want a dog that will be so aggresive that i can't have visiters. I was just wondering if anyone on here has ever owned a aplapapha blue blood bulldog, or if they know anyone who has, and what they are like from personal experience, rather than just what i can read.

I have an approximatley 9-10 year old schnauzer mix and he wieghs approx 8-10 pounds. We've thought he just had arthritis and kept him indoors and kept hims warm and he seemed to do fine. Today he is unable to get up. He just falls over. I've given him aspirin and sm. amt benadryl to help him rest. When he has to do his business we hold him up. This is a sudden down hill turn...what could be wrong? waiting to here from vet.
Please advise.

She is a 6 month old puppy and may have eaten a quarter. She is getting dry heaves and vomits. We fear a quarter may be the culprit.

I have just had my two dogs neutered. One is a Brittany and the other is a Sheltie. They are both under two years. The vet said to keep them calm and in a low key enviroment. We are a low key family. The dogs are acting like they always do. Showing no signs of pain or discomfort. I see no signs of abnormal swelling. Do I just let them be and let nature take its course? Too see them, one would never know that they had this procedure done two days ago.

She is about 6 months old and has big teeth. Sometimes she will only apply a little pressure when she bites and other times she snaps really hard! We've tried the yelping method(when she bites you yelp really loud like a puppy) and the squeezing method (when you hold he jaws shut for 5 seconds) and neither of them are working. We heard about these methods from our breeder but neither of them are working. We tried giving her bones, toys and other things to chew on, but they are not working-just making a mess in our house.
Thanx

I have two chihuahua's one is a year old the other 6mos...they won't stop pooping in their cage! It's so disgusting, i've tried everything...training pads, putting them out late at night and early morning, picking up their food at 2pm, and spanking with a newspaper. Nothing seems to work...they are good about not doing it on the floor...but i can guarantee i will find some in their bed in the morning...i'm at my wits end! What can i do?

Should I put time to training him every day how many hours or what so ever. He's a Siberian Husky around 3 1/2 months old.
