Saw his picture. Except for the coloration, he looks a lot like Stanly.
Are you sure he's mixed?
Stanly, our purebred Chihuahua, weighs 14-1/2 lbs. He is not overweight; at his last vet check we were told his weight is just right, for him. He's just big; 12-1/2 " tall at the shoulder and 14" long from neck to base of tail last time he was measured. He's extremely stubborn, likes to snuggle, but also likes to go on a rip, zooming all over the apartment, up and down on furniture, under desk, into his crate and out, like a crazy dog. Sound familiar?
I've heard of deer Chihuahuas as large as 20 lbs., but I don't know whether they are overweight or just big like Stanly. The deer Chihuahua isn't a different breed, just the other end of the spectrum that runs down to the tiny teacups at two pounds or even less. And they come from other deer Chis or from the AKC standard Chis. We saw one of Stanly's litter mates, a sister, that looked just how you would commonly think a Chi would look.
Do a google on deer or deer-type Chihuahua. Or check out this link: http://www.faqs.org/qa/qa-2153.html

I have a chiuahua mixed with we think a rat terrrier. She likes to dig in the back yard, loves to snuggle, and has to be boss!!! She's about 8 lbs. I think your dog might be mixed with some type of terrier. (Sorry i couldn't give an excact breed )

sounds like my dogs (twins) boy, and girl., I was told that they were Chihuahuas, and they each weighed 1 pound on visit to vet for first shots.
Now one of them weighs 28 pounds, and the other 20 something- they are VERY active ( the male is) the female is too FAT- and she breathes so hard, you can hear her before you see her coming- and I found out they were mix Jack Russell!
and to top it off, they both have the anal gland thing YUKKERS!

It's possible - he really could be mixed with any kind of terrier, but then again maybe not. It's hard to make a judgement without a photograph, and even then, it would mostly be an educated guess.

If there was a pic to look at, I might be able to give you an educated guess. I have raised chihuahuas for over 8 yr.

she was jealous of the puppy because the pup was getting all the attention i know its hard but if you want them to get along you must realise that it is the older dogs house and back yard make sure you you feed, play and pat the oldest dog first she will soon settle down as she will realise that she is not being replaced

I think it doesn't matter as long as you are happy with the dog.
