When I was growing up we had a lovely dog called Bryan. Only now does it seem like a bit of a daft name for a dog.

Any more?

I want a snake for christmas. I tried to get a puppy, but my parents say im not responsible, and that they aren't going to have a animal in the house. I think if all i ask for is a snake, and i REALLY mean thats all i ask for, i might get it. But i don't really know what i would need. I know i need a lamp and like a glass case thats large enough. I've been looking at ball pythons. How big do they get??? How much do they cost at a Pet Store? Also, i will feed them rats, but is it possible to feed them dog food, or is there some other source of food i could feed them thats not "alive"(or frozen). How much would all the equipment set me back??? Is it possible for the snake to escape a case???
Please help.

have you seen some of the things you can get for a dog/cat on their birthday or christmas. i recently came across a site where you can throw a party for the pet and send out invitations, have a cake with candles and party gift bags with doggy treats. Amazing !!! it is my dogs birthday on january the 2nd and although i would not want to go that far, i would like to do something to make her feel special ( she will be 1 year old !!!! ) can i have some idea 's please . It never amazes me when people waltz into the store and claim that Science Diet is the best food in the world. All it takes is ONE LOOK at the ingredients label to find that most commercial food is DISGUSTING! If you feed a common commercial brand such as Pedigree, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Iams, ect. look at the ingredients label and answer me WHY would you fee that to your natrually carniverous dog? Get a clue people!

We have a 5 month old Shar pei/chow. We have had her for almost a month now, but everytime we try to bathe her she barks, and it almost sounds like she is screaming. She tries so hard to get away. She never bites, but just the sound of her is so scary. My boyfriend has to bathe her. I am too scared. I know she wont bite, but the way she sounds is like she is going to attack!!
Is it possible for her to ever get over this, or is this something common with her breed?
Thank you for any kind of help!

I didn't realize Costco carried its own brand of dog food... and I always figure the store brands are not as good, but I checked the ingredients... and they are better than what was in the ones sitting next to it, including Iams and Purina. I feed my pups Innova right now and it had nearly the same thingS! No by-products or corn meal, and I was under the impression those were the two things I did NOT want my dogs to have. I'm a frugal kinda girl and this dog food was like 25.00 CHEAPER! Anyone else know about it???

My two puppies, who are about 14 weeks old have them, i think. My brother got a puppy from the same liter, and his puppy has them, so mine most likely have them too, since they come from the mother. What are they exactly and what damage do they do?
(my puppies are chihuahuas, so they're too little to get shots get.)

Rocky, my 10 year old Lhasa Apso, is generally a sweet dog but occasionally gets ill tempered around strangers, especially smaller children (toddlers to 5th grade or so). He's generally a nice dog but can get sneaky.

Any suggestions aside from The Dog Whisperer?

I pick up his food and water at 7:00pm, and he urinates before bed at 9:30pm. We can't have a doggy door or leave him outside at night. When he wakes me, I really need to let him out, because I don't want him going on my carpet or anywhere in the house, and I can tell he REALLY has to go. I try to give him lots of excersize during the day so he's too tired to wake up. I just need to know how to get him on a different poop schedule and how he can make it through the night without having to urinate. He's a 2yr old pomeranian. Help! :)
