Ok, my dog is a 3-4 lb Chihuahua but he's a very calm and nice one that doesn't bark and shake alot. I am the only person who he ever gets playful with and if I buy him a toy he gets scared of it and runs the other way what's wrong with him?

I have a basset hound which has a very particular smell (as hounds usually do). I think it got stronger in the past 1.5 years since I moved to Europe. He gets baths one a month and in a couple of days the smell is back. I heard giving them co-Q10 will help (which is an anti-oxidant). anyone tried it? Any other suggestions?

There are no bald patches. It seems to be a case of malting but it never stops. There's hair everywhere. The dog in question is a cross between a Chow and a Retriever. She is a year old and is very active. I also have a cockerspaniel, i'm not sure whether its just the one or both. He is 8yrs old.

I have a male cross-bred puppy, I got him from a rescue centre (so he is not really house trained).
My problem is that I let him out at night (until he barks to come back in). There is always pee on the floor in the morning (we have newspaper all over the kitchen). He is left sometimes during the day but never makes a mess (we usually walk him in the woods first - is this why?).
Any training trips please?

I just got a new kitty, and I have had CiCi (My Yorkie Dog) for almost 7 years, and she is so excited but she is a very rough player...She bites and jumps, and I am worried about my Kitty getting hurt. But I don't want to yell at Cici because she is just trying to play.

The neighbours let the dog out into the garden at any time and just let it bark. I would like to know of any (non harmful to myself or dog) solutions other people have used successfully.

I just got my puppy and I am thinking I want to neuter him. I want to prevent agressiveness later on and possible prostate problems (i read this somewhere). How much does this usually go for? Is it expensive? How are the puppies afterwards? Is it extremely painful? What should I expect?

I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback x He is very clean and honestly doesn't smell like a dog at all unless he gets dirty ears...So I clean his ears but other than that he's never had a bath...He's 3...I've said this to a few people and gotten very surprised reactions...Does anyone else have a dog that takes such meticulous care of themselves??

My dog taught himself to jump up and grab a rope and swing by it..This is how he has fun..He has never had any aggressive behavior..Not all pit bulls are mean and or aggressive..I believe they will only act that way if they are taught or treated that way. We treat our 's like a member of our family. In all the years we have had him he has never gone after anyone or anybody and has bever bitten anyone or even acted like he wanted to..

He has had regular doses of Frontline and the house has been treated, so its not fleas making him itch. He is also on James Wellbeloved hypoallegenic food, but still has awful bout of itching every night. Have seen Benydryl Childrens medicine recommended on Answers by several people, who have had some success.

I got Bob about three weeks ago and just love the big two-ton rascel. He's only two years old and past the teething stage, but into exploring his environment with the same enthusiasm of a new puppy.

So, yesterday he ate the neighbor's cat named Sugar and topped it off with Molasses, the hound formerly belonging to a guy in the next block. Both former pet-owners have expressed their unhappiness to me, which I guess I can understand, you know?

So, I don't want to muzzle Bob, that's not natural for a T-Rex, given their great joy in doing opened-jaw roaring at times. And I can't fence a two-tonner in even with razorwire.

AND I'M NOT SELLING MY HOME AND MOVING TO THE COUNTRY !! I enjoy it here.

So, how do your stop a T-Rex from indulging his sweet tooth?

I really need to know in a hurry because this girl down the street has an "inside" French Poodle named Honey and Bob doesn't know about it yet.

(PERSONAL!! --PegBurnVit... Please answer here. I cannot email you back.)

Addie is a Lab/Bloodhound mix (I know, kinda weird... but SO cute!). She was great potty training but we have new carpet in the living room. She's never been allowed in there b/c of the carpet but anytime she sneaks in, she goes! Even if she was just outside. I swear she'll push out any little bit in her body as soon as she gets in there. She NEVER goes anywhere else in the house and is always good about telling me when she has to go. She does the same thing in the basement - it's okay for her to be down there, but we're rarely in there. Is it something about her territory? How do I stop her? I'd love for one day to have a gate-free house (and a stain free carpet!). Thanks
