this is kinda hard to explain (and its a stupid question), because humans use words to talk when they think they hear their own voice in there head but animals use body language to comunicate so does this mean that when they think of something they see a tail wagging or ears sticking up etc etc.

We have one too many dogs that our lease aggreement does not allow. I am looking for some type of program that can help me place my beloved pet to a good and caring family. If someone could help with information about such a program it would truly be appreciated.

I want to get a dog, preferably a medium size one that doesn't shed. I don't like sitting in or seeing dog hair. It gives me bad feelings. I was eating at somebody's house and I noticed there was dog hair in the food which activated my gag reflex! So absolutely, no dog hair.

Well, my neighbors across the street have 3 pits. 2 are pups about 5 months old. The other is a $3,500 blue male. They think that Sugar, one of the pups, has parvo. They brought her to the vet and I think the vet thinks it's parvo. They said she's had bloody stool and urine and she's skinny. I don't know if they know that the only way to disinfect parvo infected areas is to clean it with bleach water. And if the dog's been using the bathroom in their yard and around the other dogs, then their whole yard could be infected... They keep asking for our old kennel that's in my back yard b/c they need it to put either her or Haze (blue pit) in. But we had already promised it to a guy next door. That was about a month ago and he still hasn't gotten it, so my mom said she'll just give it to the family with the pits. But I'm worried that if she comes into our yard to get it, she could be dragging the virus from her yard into our yard from her shoes or something.

Why do mail trucks and delivery trucks like UPS and stuff like that drive dogs crazy? Or I should say some dogs? My Silky goes crazy everyday at mail time ! Running and barking like a mad man, By the way his name is OZZY , after ozzy Osborne, LOL Luckily we have an invisable fence so he can't get out and chase them. But you always know when the mail is comming or someone is getting a delivery. Our other two dogs, A Sheltie and a Westie will join him, but if their in the house and don't hear him they could care less. Anyone have any thoughts?

i have a 14 week old german shepherd bith , i have had her for 2 weeks now i got her when she was 12 weeks old.she is a brilliant puppy , loves playing and chewing my arm, she has not had 1 accident in the house at all , she goes all night with no problems and runs in to the garden in the morning, i could not ask for a better pup, however she has not barked or made a noise apart from the odd gruff when she is sniffing around in the garden, is there a certain age that they bark or could there be a problem.

hey, for the past while i have been asking questions about my 8 month old puppy, buddy. These Q's pertained to his bad habits & oral health. i just want to tell everyone what ended up happening & how things are going. Friday i took buddy to the vet about his teeth & to my surprise he said Buddys teeth were healthy. skeptical i asked why. well, he found that buddys red & blackish teeth were caused by some sort of antibotic that a prievious owner could have gave him (remember, i rescued him from the pound around 3 months old). Thankfully buddy didnt have to loose any teeth, and the whole appointment costed me only 40 bucks. the only "bad" news is that buddy's fangs most likely are going to stay the black red forever; and the wobbily fang? the doc said that there was a very slight chance it would fall out, but most likely it is just weak & will stiffen up soon. btw, he said pig ears are not very good for dogs (lol, & i barely bought a 10 pack).

It's so annoying sometimes! 2 of them lick the couch - and the other one licks my legs or feet all the time!

We currently have two pregnant dogs in our shelter. They will be having their puppies in a couple of weeks are we're having a sort of contest to see who can come up with some good names for the babies. One of the moms is a Pit Bull mix named "Patty", and one of the moms is aTreeing Walker Coonhound named "Dolly".

If you provide a name that we pick for one of the pups, we'll e-mail you the pups' photo when it's born.

I just got a chihuahua puppy who is doing great at going potty outdoors, but on mornings when it is so cold, she shivers and runs back inside and then will sometimes go on the floor. I want to litter train her for the winter so she doesn't have to go outside but she does not like going in the litter box. She will go on training pads, though.

I have AKC Dobermans and one AKC Min Pin. We have the 3 generation pedigrees but what to track as far as we can. Sort of like a family tree search.

Does anyone know where to get this info or any ideas?
Thanks A LOT!
