I got beagle/dashound mix from lady outside walmart couple months ago b/c I had been wanting playmate for my daughter, we had been halfway looking at dogs for months. Well, dog is STUPID, hes driving me nuts. I cant kill him or make him disappear b/c I dont have the heart & it would break my daughters. Hes still urinating & deficating on the floor (we have been rubbing his nose in it, spanking, taking him outside, crating him at night when he does it), we have hardwood floors & he randomly goes around the house eating (not chewing up and spitting out) everything he finds, & I keep my floor clean, but he finds hairs, little pieces of dirt, strings, everything & eats it, and as a result frequently spits up (sometimes on the furniture). Hes driving me nuts. Is there anything I can do to make him more easy to live with? I can live with dumb. I cant live with urine/poop smell, spitup on couch, ALWAYS taking things out of mouth. Im serious, you can look in his eyes & see theres tiny brain.

Im a single guy living in an apartment and be away at work 9-5. I am thinking of adopting a dog. which breed would fit that lifestyle? Also, I would be a first time pet owner - so probably a breed thats more friendly and doesnt need much experience.

I just got a miniature schnauzer today. Yay. I'm so excited. He's 4 months old pure white, and very laid back. He was called "Snowy" at the store, but I don't like that name a whole lot, and he doesn't answer to it. Some suggestions for a creative name? I've read other related questions, and nothing jumps out at me.

This little guy is just adorable. He's very quiet and was skittish at first but very friendly with me. We can't have inside dogs due to allergies. Can we keep him outside or do we need to find a good home for him? I've already become very fond of him. I named him Chimichanga & call him Chimi for short *lol*

I have a neutered 3 yr old male dalmatian named flash that just started attacking my 8 months old intact male rat terrier named ringer when he goes outside after they eat. This has been going on for 3 days now. Flash has lived with Ringer since Ringer was 6wks old. They dont fight at all inside or fight over anything. Just when Flash is outside in the fenced yard and I open the door to let Ringer out Flash readily attacks Ringer before he can get outside. So I have to shew Flash off the steps in front of the door before Ringer is let outside. Once Ringer is outside and I prevent the fight at the doorway they are fine together. Why is this all of a sudden happening?? I have another dog a spayed female golden retriever that he doesnt fight with at all.

I have had my 13 yr old large breed dog on this for over a year. He seems to be doing very well on it, but I am concerned about health risks. Anyone have any comments on how their dog reacted to it?
