A dog can become pregnant at her first heat cycle, which can be anywhere from 5 months to 10 months.
This is why many recommend having females spayed at 4-5 months old. Spaying before the first heat cycle can reduce the risk of mammary cancer by 98%. The benefit decreases with each heat, and has no cancer reducing ability after 5-6 heat cycles.
No dog should be bred before 2 years old, and no dog should be bred unless it conforms to breed standard and has been a proven winner in a show ring.

They can get pregnant the first time they go into the heat cycle, which can by as young as 6 months, depending on the breed of dog. Whether they should is another story. It is best to have a female dog spayed before the first heat and dogs should not be bred before 2 years of age.

She CAN get pregnant at her first cycle which is about 6 months of age. But this can be very harmful to the dog. Try to wait for at least the third cycle. 1 and half years.

The dog can get pregnant during its first time in heat but it can be harmful to the dog and pups if she becomes pregnant. I would keep her away from male dogs during her first few times in heat to prevent her from getting pregnant. If she does become pregnant go to a vet and ask what risks there is if she has the pups or not.

At their first heat. It's not the right thing for the dog because their body is not finished developing - you can do a lot of damage, but it is physically possible. That's why females should be spayed before then.

most dogs it is better to wait until they have gone through their first cycle, we just bread our bulldogs and during her 2nd cycle my bulldogge conceived on the first try. Really find out all the backround on your dog, depending on the breed this could vary. whatever you do i would defenitly wait till the second cycle.

CATS can be matted at 6 mo. so you should have them spaded at 6 mo. DOGS don't always come in season at 6mo but they can. They should be spaded at 6 mo also. If you want to breed them you should not breeder them every season it is not healthy for your pet.
