go to petfinder.com.....this is a site for rescue groups.....just enter your Zipcode, and be AMAZED at how many great choices you have !!.....i adopted a Great Pyrenees mix from them, and my dog sylvester is awesome !!.....check it out......do a good deed.....adopt a German Shepherd puppy today !!!.....good luck to you, in your search for a German Shepherd puppy as a new pet !!!!

umm maybe not for for but for under a 100 dollars you could get a german shepard mix at a adoption place and the most of the time the german shepard really takes over and if you are lucky at an adoption place you could find a full blooded one.check the aspca and also the no kill animal sheltars the are alot of privately owned ones and also signs at vet offices

seriously, try your local animal shelter. it might be a shepherd mix, but still... you can usually get them pretty young. most people are intimidated by the possibility of a german shepherd being large in size.

good luck trying to find one for free though... most animal shelters charge an adoption fee for their dogs, which varies according to their age. i'd almost be willing to bet money on the fact that you'll never find a purebred german shepherd for free.. but you might be able to get a german shepherd mix puppy at the animal shelter for a reasonable cost.
