We got tasha after our 2nd baby died the lord knew that my husband and i needed her at that moment and we found her on a st. coner she was sick and frail that was in 2001 we still have our tasha but we know something is wrong with her and we aren't quite sure what it is, she was being treated for a ear infection for the third time and now she is literally chewing on her fur to the point she has none. we know are dog is in pain and we are doing all that we can but right now we aren't able to take her anywhere cause the vets said it will cost alot of money. I am on disability and my husband as well and it breaks our heart because we want so much to help our tasha and we can't so please if anyone knows what is happening to our dog please tell me so i know how to get her help. It will leave a huge void in our lives if tasha dies so please if anyone knows why this is happening tell me and if you know what to do for her i would really appreciate it. ty

we live in the country, there is a footpath at the back of our (fenced in) property and when the shepherd goes by with his sheep my dogs get very excited and bark at them and at each other. The little dog yaps at the big dog and he retaliates and bites her( normally he is not aggressive, but she winds him up), I am looking to buy a lightweight chain mail type of coat she could wear to protect her. It is not possible to keep them seperate.

I gave my dog (Tbone - he's a daschund) a rawhide bone. While I wasn't home, he tried to bury his bone in my bed. He tried to move the pillows/blankets around with the top of his nose, and in the process he scraped away a piece of his skin! So I coaxed him away from the bone and threw it away (I don't want him to hurt himself anymore). Now he's still pushing things around looking for it! Should I give the bone back?? I don't know what to do!!

I posteda few minutes ago about my dog's incision and itching. Nowo I am wondering if you can sue for medical malpractice against a vet. I took my chihuahua to a vet 3 weeks ago and informed him about my dog having troubles urinating adn he told me it was because he licked himself and made his private irritated and infected but didnt give any meds for it just meds for mange. Told me that I would have to wait 3 months for mange treatment to be completed and then he would do shots and then worry about urinatign problem. Well exactly 2 weeks later he almost died on me because he had stones so big that they blocked the tip of his uretha tube and one embedded itself into bone at tip of male part. i had to have emergency surgery performed on dog by another vet because first vet told me he was too busy to look at my dog. I almost lost my dog because of it. My dog also basically had have a sex change surgery at same time because stones tore up uretha tube.

My chihuahua had surgery a week ago for stone removal and had to have his uretha tube rerouted because stones got stuck in his private area adn tore the oretha tube up. He is trying to chew on the new area they had to cut and put his uretha tube at so he could go the bathroom. I am looking for somethiing to put on there to help him stop from trying to bite the site. I need somethingto stop the itching if possible. He won't get the stitches out for awhile as it was major surgery and he is looking at more surgery for same thing but more corrective surgery since this last one was an emergency surgery. If anyone can give me some safe ideas that will not harm the area and be okay to use my chihuahua I would appreciate it.
