Hello,
I would like to get a new dog which is not too large, but not a chiwawa or whatever that is. Any suggestions for a medium sized dog ? Something unique? Thanks.

What kinds of dogs are generally healthy (if properly cared for, of course) and don't have too many genetic health problems?

I have a male beagle, very enegetic and playful. What kind of dog would go best with him? Should it be male or female? Where should I get the dog?

I have a beagle/basset hound (here's her picture if you want to see her : http://profiles.yahoo.com/anglekisses741) and we rescued her from her previous owners who abused her. She is such a sweety, but sense we got her she's more of a goof and very spoiled, lol....shes a sweet heart though.

Does everyone else spoil there dog to?

Our 13-year-old Husky has had arthritis for awhile now. We don't leave him outside in the cold anymore (he used to love it), and he doesn't like cushiony dog beds (he overheats). Any supplements? We use one aspirin, a couple times a week, right now, but that doesn't do much. (The vet recommended it).

I have a 1 year old German Shepherd and we are probably getting another dog in a few months. My shep is EXTREMELY docile and loving, and submissive to even cats and toy dogs. So the concern isn't how nice my current dog will be, but what other dogs would be nice to her. I'm looking for a small to medium size dog, nothing other 60 pounds. What dogs do you recommend?

My neighbor is not taking care of their dog. It is a shi-tzu mix with a golfball size swelling on it's front paw. I've called animal control and 911 about it. They aren't doing anything about it. Is there anyone else I can call?

The puppy seems to have all the characteristics of a true Golden Retriever. (the shape of the head, nose, eyes, etc) but the pet shop cannot provide the pedigree document because it's father (sire) didn't have it. Is it that important to have this document? Can't decide whether I should get the dog. Help!!

I just got 'Doris' yesterday from the pound. She is an 8-10yr old beagle/terrier mix that came in as a stray a couple of months ago. She is a great little dog, but doesn't answer to Doris. When she came in as a stray they didn't know what her name was so they just picked one that seemed to fit her. I have tried every possible name I can think of to see if I can luck into figuring out what her original name was, but no luck and she doesn't answer to Doris. Will she ever?

OK...don't laugh...but my dog thinks that what's in the cat box is the best dog treat of all time!! I've got an old lab and an old cat...we've been struggling with this problem for years...

I've tried everything. I can't put a cover on the cat box cause then the cat won't go in it. I even tried to put a kitty door in the room where the cat box is...but the cat won't go through the door. She will crap in the floor first...or just sit by the door and meow.

I have punished, spanked, yelled, tried "positive-re-enforcement"just about everything imaginable to the dog to try and get her to stop...but rest assured, as soon as I leave the house..she makes a bee line for the cat box...I've caught her in the act numerous times.

Any Suggstions? I'm tired of my dog's kitty litter moustache!!

She is only 15 months old. She has way to much energy. To try to keep her off of the leg is impossible. She runs even with the bad leg. When I let her out to use the bathroom, she wants to run. W/o taking her to the park, she is going crazy. One more question, could this have happened when she was being spayed? The night she came home is when the leg started to act up. It has been about a year and the pain comes and goes depending on how hard she plays.

I already have a Miniature Pinscher. She is 2 years old. She is a dominate dog. I was wondering if I got a another dog (a puppy) that she would start marking her territory again. Do you think that she would. She would never hurt a puppy she would just show it that she is the boss. Should I get a male or female? Thank You
