I recently asked for info about my 3month old Coltriever, only to have backyard breeders and pet shop employees insult my dog and I. I found all the info for my self THANKYOU!!!!! A Coltriever is a REGISTERIED BREED at The Kennel Club. The Kennel Club U.K. not only allows a mixed breed, almost all dog breeds are a mix in the begining of a breed. This breed is fairly new, very new in the U.S.A. There is also a WEB site dedicated to the breed. WWW.Coltriever.org it is a very good and professional site. In New Zealand the Coltriever is the breed chosen to be guide dogs. A Coltriever was on the search team ay the World Trade Center tradgety. And many work on Search and Rescue teams around the world. Once again I would like to thank all those "EXPERTS" for thier answers, oops, I mean smartass comments. Enjoy all of your Mutts and Mongruls, I mean "purebreds". I guess "purebred" dogs just magicly appear? Ya right!!!

I believe it is foreign, like chinese or something and I think it has a two part name but I could be wrong. They look like a pitbull on mutant steriods.

A small apartment
Needs to get along very well with people and children, even strangers
Can be left alone for a work day.
Doesn't need a large amount of exercise.
Not too hard on furniture, carpet, etc.

Several suggestions of breeds would be helpful, also any good links.

Thanks!

does anyone out there have any HOME, or "OVER THE COUNTER" remedies that might help "move this along", so the speak!
If it were one of my dogs, we would be at the Vet's office right Now, but theses kids just can't afford it at this time.

Ok, my dog and her puppy got ahold of a dryer sheet that had been through the dryer. They both seem ok except they threw up, and the puppy was hacking (he's about 9-10 weeks old). The mother is sleeping now and the puppy is playing with his brother (who's fine). I'm just really worried. Should I call the vet? This isn't going to kill them is it? None of my other animals have ever eaten dryer sheets before.

Alright he's male, He's a black pug puppy. I get him in three weeks. I've seen him already and he's adorable. But need some help on suitable names. My friend suggested pugsly and douglas puglous but i dont like that. I need something that flows.

My dog will urinate in certain places that I don't want him to, so i'll scold him, but he'll just go right back there the next day. And i understand that if I put something new out there, he will urinate on it to mark his territory, but for example he will urinate right in front of the back door, and that is one place i really dont want him going. So if anyone can help me that would be great. Thanks so much.

My toy poodle is very well behaved and very calm...that is, until I am out of his line of sight. he'll start to cry and start to bark...and will keep it up for hours, or until he falls asleep. I've tried leaving the room and waiting for him to stop barking(at which point I would re-enter the room and give him a treat for being quiet). the barking wasn't a problem when i lived in a house, but now i live in an apartment and my neighbor has complained. He's very small so he can't use a collar...and i think those things are inhumane....but how do you stop a dog from barking when you're not in the room? I do leave the TV on for him, and he's litterbox trained, so he can always go to the bathroom...and i always leave him with enough food and water and toys and things to knaw on(as he's still teething) How do i stop my puppies yipping when i'm not home? he never barks at all when i'm here.
