I believe it is foreign, like chinese or something and I think it has a two part name but I could be wrong. They look like a pitbull on mutant steriods.

I mean this dog has MUSCLES. It looks like a body builder doing that O shape with his two front arms. I am looking online now and will let you know what I am talking about if I find it.

Presa Canario! I think you're right! This guy had a pic of his and they were big and scary looking. I wouldn't go in a yard with those!

You're talking about the Bull Terrier. They are 100% muscle in their neck & chest & have an Egg-shaped head that makes them look like a torpedo. They have small almond-shaped eyes that almost makes them appear oriental. They were originally bred for fighting and have a fearsome rep as pit dogs in the past. They are great with people, especially kids, but will not tolerate another dog being aggressive towards them. These dogs are the textbook for intimidation.

Technically, AmStaffs and APBT's are the equal canine. At the least they used to be. You was once equipped to register them as both breeds, however not anymore. One is simply more subtle and showy, and the opposite is more "game" and tends to look more like its a working dog. Your dog simply looks like a pit bull to me. I have three pit bulls myself. All of them seem slightly extraordinary centered on what they are combined with.

Neapolitan Mastiffs are very intimidating but don't really look like pitbulls. I think they're great. They used this kind of dog for Fang in the Harry Potter movie.

I think you are referring to the presa canario!! Viscious looking dogs. I have read some horror stories about them killing their owners and other people. The last story I read was about a week ago in Florida. The dog killed its owner.

You are thinking of a Cane Corso Mastiff. They are from Italy.
On the other hand you may be thinking of a bull mastiff. They originally are from England.

You may have seen a picture of an american bulldog or american staffordshire that are competitive sled pulling dogs....they are ussualy extremely muscular.

"Looks" mean nothing. It`s the heart that counts and no other breed can be compared to a game APBT.
