Very small... depending on the breed, probably 8-10" tall at the shoulders. Some breeds, like italian greyhounds, can be as tall as 13" at the shoulders and still only be 5 pounds though.

Depends on the age and breed I guess. But really 5 pounds is 5 pounds! It's seem like a lot when you have to lose it on a diet but for a dog it's very small.

About the size of a full grown cat.
I just took my puppies to the vet for their first set of shots and the biggest one is about the size of a full grown cat and weighs five pounds.
